I bought a brand new car last year in July and still havent got my number plates. Apparently the number plate manufacturer that was making the number plates last year went out of business and the LTO only just got the go ahead with a new company. All this wrangling means the production of new number plates is now 12 months behind schedule, so I may get my plates 18 months from the actual date of purchase. My new motor bike took 8 months to get it's new plates with the old company. So if you are going to buy a new car expect at least 12 months until you get your plates. Only in the Philippines !!
