Was out on a ride on the bike earlier this week and noticed just past le Nebia resto which as a few of you know is in the middle of nowhere on the tanjay-pamplona rd there is a pretty large new resto and hotel complex being built from disused containers. The owner of le Nebia mentioned it was being built by our govenor Roel Degamo. An interesting place for this sort of complex, maybe he knows something we dont about the area!
Perhaps government officials are given more detailed information on sea level rises due to global warming that is given to us mere mortals.
Omg, when I passed by there a week ago I was wondering what that might be and wondered if maybe accommodation for construction workers or so. Must be an awesome view from the top of that hill, but other than that - why stay there for the night, and why in a steel container?
Apparently alot of people have been asking for a place to stay up there so they can experience the fog and cold they get up there at certain times of the year.
Here in Oklahoma City, we have several businesses and apartments created from re-purposed shipping containers, and they work surprisingly well! It isn't like you are actually in a steel shipping container once they add wall covering, windows, flooring, cabinetry, etc....it is an affordable business and housing alternative, while utilizing these abandoned containers that are just sitting around.
No significant increase in construction by government officials up here in Valencia (but maybe they know something about Mt. Talinis that we mere mortals do not know lol). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have been living in these container mods for the last decade in Afghanistan. I'd be curious to give them a try to see how they stack up. A wet CHU (a containerized housing unit with a built in bathroom) has slipped my grasp for the last decade. I would gladly pay for the privilege to be able to p*ss in a shipping container.
The Philippine website http://indigohouse.yolasite.com shows a very interesting set of container homes (even a set of apartments) plus prefab house and other buildings. Not sure of the rules governing using their photos here, else I would have shown some. From a newspaper ad where I originally saw this company it states "Insulated Container House 20ft P150,000" but I am not aware what you would receive in terms of any fittings at that price (just insulation I suspect); "Prefab House P6000 per sqm".
