After some time, I decided to get some new Reading Glasses, I say reading Glasses as they are for PC work and well, Reading. Had what I consider a good all round Eye examination and quite a long Chat to the Optician, I have a slight Stigma in my left eye so it was not just a clear new single lens job, they were two differing Strength lens's, So after a couple of Days now, I have had slight Headaches, How long do you think it will take my eyes to get fully adjusted to these new Glasses? I don't want to rush in and Moan if there is a Time delay in this adjustment of my eyes, At 67+ I realize that my Body is not as quick to react as a Younger person. Anyone?
Going off of memory (so not exactly scientific fact lol) my guesstimate would be about a week. This would be a consensus of memories from getting a new pair of glasses from the eye doctor myself, to reading about those studies where the use mirrors to turn your vision upside down, to what other people have mentioned in conversation.
I hope they are polarized lenses Jack. My untinted polarized reader give me comfort looking at the bright screen and cuts glare on the keyboard from the overhead fluorescent light.
Sure are, that was the one thing she talked me into, Odd you should mention Lights as I am thinking this may be a slight Problem, just at the moment we are using 5 watt led lamps, maybe I will up the Wattage over the PC area. What do you or anyone think to that?
I think it could cut down on eyestrain as long as you have the glasses to protect you against glare. I have two 13 W bulbs in the ceiling fan. For some reason I need it brighter if I use fluorescent bulbs than if I used a 60W incandescent bulb, maybe there is something missing in the light spectrum?
Light bulbs come in several color temperatures - from the yellowish soft white to daylight. Sounds like your eyes prefer one over the others but the selection here limits your choices. The middle slide here has a slider you can play with to see the difference Light bulb color temperature | Philips Lighting
Now that I think about it, it is about time I buy a new pair or two also. Where is the best selection/low cost place to go look. Nothing special 1.50 and prefer metal frames (I'm looking because the plastic frame pair I have is cracked and won't last much longer).
I usually go to Vicky Santiago by Rose Pharmacy next to Evermall, But this time I used Vintage Optical 2nd Floor Evermall as they had the frames I wanted but Both are Good, the Stocks and pricing is pretty Similar Same day Turnaround if not a difficult Job, I was only 3 days on special order.
