According to the Owner, the new "Mamias" Cafe will be located at the corner St.Catalina/San Jose street, diagonally opposite from "Sans Rival", it's planed opening is in September, the same Staff is being employed and the Coffee will be the same as well...:o
Never really cared for their coffee, or much of anything else there. Their pastries looked good in the case, but were lifeless. Your directions to the new place seem a bit confusing. First you're at the corner of SJ and SC, then you're diagonal from Sans Rival :headscratch: Edit: Should have looked at the photo first I guess. I remember now seeing the mayor's old place under renovation.
so it's the same horrible service... Will it also be the same child-sized tables and chairs they had outside?
I did appreciate the taste of their coffee much more than what is being served nowadays @Sans Rival and similar places. But taste is a very personal matter and can be discussed endlessly. Agreed with you that their pastries, if not really fresh but beyond their date you better avoid to order.
So if you think Mamia's coffee is bad, where do you recommend we find good coffee? At Mamia's, I would order a latte with an extra shot of expresso to dump in it, I enjoyed that combo.
I like the coffee at Bo's, both at the back of the mall and the new place in the old Globe building on the boulevard.
I found MOON CAFE next to Jo's chicken (Not the one at Robinsons) and also Bo's coffee (Bit expensive) near enough to the quality I like.....
Other than just making my own at home from two mixed flavors of Maxwell House; I find McD and Jollibee coffee very good when it's not too old. I can't think of anywhere else I'd seek out just for their coffee-but there may be somewhere that excels. It is a matter of individual taste though of course.
Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks. As an old Seattle boy, I miss Seattle Best and Starbucks.
