Are there any new outboard motor dealers around. Like Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Yamaha, etc. 35-50hp gas.
I have a 15 hp Yamaha long leg sitting around doing nothing and an 11 foot inflatable (like a zodiac) if that's of any interest to you.
Thank you but I am looking for something to power a Filipino cat ~24'... like this.. looking for a builder as well if anyone knows of a reputable builder that can handle dual power sources.
i forget his name but there was builder in tambobo bay about 8 years ago. i don't know if he's still there but i'm sure someone on this group can update. here's a link to his location to his location, looks like he's still there. https://goo.gl/maps/cpyzDV3Yker9fMar5
The guy to talk to is Nigel. He is usually at Tongo Sail Inn. I think he goes to the city on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so it's best to go when he's there. They have very good fish and chips, the burgers are pretty good too. @osodelnorte don't let anyone talk you into a Sail boat. This is the wrong country for one of those things. One day a tropical storm smashed my 30 foot catamaran on to the beach. That was the happiest day of owning that boat.
Definition of a boat - "A hole in the water, surrounded by plastic, into which one pours unlimited amounts of money" ( I owned / lived on a 10m motorsailor for 8 yrs in the 80's). Having said that, I had a fantastic time and met a lot of great people.
Sorry to hear and thanks for the heads up but I will be going power. I sailed and most of the time was spent dragging a long tall upright pole through the air. I prefer a straight line between A & B if you know what I mean...
