:cautious: Reading this Article, I can't see if anywhere, it says that the Company offers anyone other than Dumagueteños access to services and Health care, I take it then that as with so many things, Foreigners are not included, just our Money to pay for our families or am I missing something? :whistling:

I was only talking to a foreigner last year about this company and tried to contact them but as usual no reply.
He uses them for the family and business and what he told me sounded very good. Maybe he will see this post on here and give us some more info as I think he still a member.
Edited to say rodneyemr was the forum user, not sure if he is on here much though.

From the way I read the Article it does seem to slant on a business environment ie; membership through the company you work For but as you say we may get some more information in due course.

Well Alex that seems to be the Normal Age Limit for a new Policy at the Majority of Insurance Companies so it does not surprise me at all.

I think I also remember Rodney mentioned it was around p1000 month for a reasonable health care policy.

I am 62 and included in my wife's Philcare Plan, as is my 14 year old daughter. My eldest daughter is now 21 and is now required to have her own plan, even though she is in full time education. If you are taken into hospital here, make sure that they are aware that you have Philcare. Keep all your receipts for medication bought by yourself, as they sometimes mysteriously appear on your bill as being provided by the hospital. Health Care here is a business, as you will see when you get your bill. I said to the cashier that they forgot to charge me for the air that I breathed, I don't think they understood or weren't interested. Hope this helps.

Yes KC but what we were wondering is the age cut of a new policy and age of entry, Now, can I ask if your wife took that Policy out prior to your 60th Birthday? this will answer a lot

Who are qualified to have an ER Shield or ER Vantage card?

It is so convenient to have an ER Shield or ER vantage card. The only membership requirement is the age. Individuals must be 6 months to 64 years old from the card’s effectivity (7days after registration). Registration is just through text.

    DAILY STAR: Negros Oriental (Philcare)

Sorry for the confusion. I am in fact on my wife's Philhealth Plan as a spouse and I was 60 at the time. We have an American friend whom was 77 when she took out her plan and she has already benefited from it this year. You can register and pay at LBC.
I have been on the Philcare site and it appears that you can register from 6 months to 64 years. They have a branch office in Portal West, so I would visit there to get it from the horses mouth.
