Interesting opinion, although obviously not factual. It would be virtually impossible to accurately quantify these indicies. Maybe Filipinos don't have as much experience as North American and European politicians at hiding their corruption, haha. However it is interesting to note that the Gross Domestic Product is only a little over $2000 per person (GDP divided by the population). This should explain to many of our members why we do not have many of the "luxuries" that that we are accustomed to in our own countries.
I take it that that is 2000$ a year, that's 166$ a month or 5.50$ a day x 42Php =230Php In may neighbourhood that's the average income of a worker that is more or less qualified. There is only about 1 out of 5 above 18 years old employed, that makes that estimate of 230Php a day for EVERY Filipino pretty unrealistic. My guess would be that about 50% of the population above 18 years are most of the time unemployed...and that the Country functions to a great deal on incomes from abroad and well doer's that are lucky enough to have a job that pays 10'000-25'000Php a month. Not to mention that the unemployed also don't pay any incom taxes and the ones that get supported don't do either.
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10. What is the total? Did you get 5000?
