It was'nt till years after my Parents died that I realized just how much my Dad loved my Mother! Heres his poem to her which lay hidden for many years "You and you alone dwell in my heart and reign supreme You are the beginning and the end of every dream This is Heaven there could be no other road for me You are my star of fate and fortune You are my destiny Now the secret has been told, the truth I have confessed In the hollow of your hand my happiness will rest Now you know beyond all doubt that I am all your own Now you know it's you I love It's you and you alone". hope that this thread becomes a site for Poets Dreamers and Lovers...JB
Hey, John Boy, that's a very nice poem that your Dad wrote to you Mother. I can appreciate that because I myself is a poetry writer. Thanks again for posting that treasure from your Father. Swany
Hi Swany thanks.... How about you posting some of your stuff here in poets corner would love to read some regards john
Hi John Boy, I certainly would post some of mine, but it's not like your Dad's. excellent one. Have to retrieve one at poetry site where i posted my work. It takes only a few minutes. Loving You Loving you is my heart's delight And my love for you is deep as the sea No one can vouch that but the Lord Almighty. My love for you is unconditional in so many ways Heaven knows life's obstacle tend to be on your way But my heart tells me you are the one and my destiny. Loving you is a true God's miracle Deep in my heart, I build us a temple For you and me to worship the love we nurture. Loving you is a wondrous feeling of contentment It's a sure feeling that you and I are sharing What has God bestowed in us is blissful and loving. M. P. L. (copyright 2006) (aka swany) swany
Nice one Swan. If I read poems like these I always wonder how it is possible that there are also human beings amongst us who don't seem to have the slightest bit of love for other humans and do everythingl what other humans can hurt. Await your next one.
All the Lonely People Everyday I see them hiding in the shadows Where they go to at night nobody knows Queuing for their fix the morning is theirs By afternoon they have solved the Worlds wrongs Once more into oblivion addiction lets them rest Before its ugly head surfaces once more To curse the World in which they live.........JB
Hi Jellyfish, thanks for comments. My poem serves as a wakeup call for people who don't seem to care for their love one's feelings. We don't wait to tell them how we feel until it's too late. swany
