    Like an idiot, I've managed to lose my prescription sunnies. I haven't been in Dumaguete very long, and I have no idea where to buy a new pair.

    Could anyone suggest a decent optician's shop where they could figure out my prescription (which I also misplaced) and make me a new pair of sunnies?

    Try Vicky Santiago in Ever mall Perdices Street ( by crown Pharmacy just before Jollibee coming from Silliman, opposite Lee plaza.) She has all the equipment for this.

    I'd recommend giving them a call first. 1.) To see if they even do prescription sunglasses....and 2.) I've tried to go in there several times and every time I do they seem to be closed (seems I'm determined to go in there during lunch for some reason).

    If they don't have anything there are quite a few eye "clinics" in Robinsons. I usually use the one next to Globe to order my contact lenses. Don't know if they did the sunglasses though.

    I realize that i am quite late in answering to this but better late than never. I tried the optometrist next to Globe that someone mentioned and the place ripped me off. Over P7,000 for glasses and when i received them they were no good. And when I asked them to correct them they refused and no refund. Go at your own risk.
