Spider, or Spyder, are decent helmets. They used to have a shop in Robinsons top floor towards Globe.

I like the Index helmet, because the clasp is metal and not plastic. I found it in the sporting goods shop at Hypermart.

I have a spyder helmet from the shop on the second floor at Robinson. The Chin guard flips up to become like an open face helmet that's a nice feature when the traffic is slow. I paid about 4000 pesos.

There’s a joke about this design. It’s exclusively for the pretty face :hilarious:

That's expensive, the Spyder helmet. But then, the cost of a helment (or no-helmet) correlates with the value of one's head.

$75 for a helmet is not expensive. That is definitely on the lower end for a helmet that passes any kind of safety rating.

hey guys, thanks for the suggestions on finding a helmet in duma.

my head measures 58 which, according to the size charts on Lazada, is borderline between med and large.

i went to the Spyder Store at rob's mall to see what they had in stock. i tried on a medium and it sat on top of my head; no way could i pull it down. then i tried a large and i could pull it down but i couldn't get my fingers in the helmet to roll the tops of my ears back up so i tried an XL and i could get my head into it w/o distorting my ears but it was not at all comfortable. no XL in stock.

i asked if i could order an XXL and was told 3 months or more. the sales guy told me to try Lucky Terminal, so i went there. they had SOL and LEV3. i could get a SOL XL on but it was a little uncomfortable, the LEV XL was reasonably comfortable but the graphics were not in my tastes. no XXL helmets in stock.

has anyone else had this size experience with any of the brands above? i've had comfortable helmets in the past and i tried on two DI members helmets and they were comfortable (don't know the size). i'm borrowing my landlords cheapo helmet now and i could comfortably wear a baseball hat inside.
