In order to get a Red Ribbon Birth Certificate (authenticated by Malacanang and DFA) my wife was canvassing the price from some travel agency's in Dumaguete. Most expensive (2,500 pesos) was the travel agency in Garahe street between the boulevard and Foodnet. Cheapest (1,700 pesos) was the travel agency opposite Nicanor hotel but with extra red tape*. Most correct was Maganda (down town) at 2,000 pesos. It takes 3 weeks to get the certificate. *Red tape: -A 2 week old NSO birth Certificate (2011) was not valid (needed a new certificate 2012) -need for a Health certificate with stamp from NSO. -need for an extra birth certificate from her hometown.(why there is NSO?)
Go to any LBC office, they do that and delivered right away to your doorstep, 2-3weeks of processing.
Why not just get an NSO? It's hat places require anyway. You can but the red ribbon for 40 peso on the street. Not 2-pibe! lol
