    hello all,

married to a filipina now for close on three years, never went about trying to get the 13a here , will wait until we go back to the old sod for that.

i spend of my time working in China and come back to dgte every three or four months, so my acr card expired and goes without saying is expired now

i was in dgte for the christmas and chinese new year and went to he BI to pay the extension (extra 38 days) which takes me up to the 7th of march (stamp on passport) but im back in china now , three days

in the middle of getting my work visa for China , so I went to the Chinese consulate in Cebu and the person there said no worries , they will accept the expired card along with the NSO original marraige cert and that along with all the other bits n pieces is all I need

but the drama now is the Chinese bureau here in China they wont accept the expired ACR card they want a new one

so after all the huffing and puffing,

can the wife just slip along to the BI in dgte and sort of nod n wink and get it renewed or is there some way of doing it without going back there again

and if I do have to go back how soon can i apply for a new one/renewd one

do i have to wait for 21 days or indeed the 59 days or just get off the plane and go and get the 59 days and pay for tha new card

chinese just wont give me the last piece of the puzzle with out a new ACR card (even if is only a tourist acr card)

    argh argh

salamat kaayo sa tanan o mangutana

Yeah, I seem to remember the officer asking to seey wife's passport before giving me the Balikbayan stamp. Can you come in on the normal 21 day visa and then go to BI with your wife and get the Balikbayan stamp?

The balikbayan privilege is for those who ENTER with their Filipino spouse. Sometimes the rules are bent a little, depending on who you talk to and the amount of the tip.
