i'd like to renew my usa passport and do the fils exit country visa obligation in a short as possible stay in manila. but thinking about it; if i exit the fils and return on day 1 and then give my passport to the us embassy on day 2, i won't have my passport to show immigration in duma that i've been out of the country. if i renew my passport on day 1 and exit the country on day 2, i won't have a passport for airport immigration. has anyone had this experience? thanks... norm : ))~
Something to keep in mind, If you leave with less than 6 month remaining on your passport you won't be allowed back into the Philippines without getting a new one abroad.
taking a closer look at the dates, i'm way too soon to renew my pp so i'll probably take larry's advice and renew it in cebu city (i didn't know you could do that!). meanwhile, i'm going to do a 24hr excursion to hong kong and back to fulfill my ''exit country'' visa obligation. incase anyone else is thinking about it, here's my itinerary: day one: Duma to Manila depart 0855 arrive 1010 hours Cebu Pacific 5J - 626 Manila to Hong Kong depart 1640 arrive 1840 hours Cebu Pacific 5J - 118 next day: Hong Kong to Cebu City depart 0135 arrive 0410 Cebu Pacific 5J - 239 Cebu to Duma depart 0630 arrive 0705 hours Cebu Pacific 5J - 867 what a game! costs about ₱15,000 (including a Clark to Macau throw-a-way ticket). seems like a better option would be to donate the money to an orphanage and stay home instead of spending a day going in circles on Cebu Pacific... thanks... norm : ))~
