Apparently not as much as you might think, They can't use it all at once and the deal is, it goes back through the net meter.
Now I am not expert ( in fact I am a Dunce on this) but Seems there is not always a Win win on Solar power, However, I would say that they have done a good thing.

It certainly is a good thing as reckon their power bill must have been huge! I thought the deal was (and the law) and surplus power would be bought back by the power company for around p4.5 kW! So it should be a win,win situation for robinsons. And also noreco can now distribute the excess power back into the grid for those who regularly get low voltage.

Not sure about that Figure but looks as if yes! a Win Win all Round, Except there seems to be some confusion of whether Solar power operates well enough with out Grid back up.

If the whole lot is grid tied which it probably is as battery's are way too expensive it will be useless in any brownout.

Thats fair comment. I often wondered if batteries or grid tie in are the only way to go. Surely they have a generator for brown outs and it must be huge to power that mall during brownouts (? because I do not know)

So could they make their own, self contained, grid where the solar supplements the generator power? Excess power would just go to waste but it would reduce the draw on the generator, wouldn't you think??

I think the whole thing is BS. Some of the panels are curved at the edges to follow the roofline.
One day I will learn Photoshop so I can have more hair on my head.

No, it is true. Robinson Mall just announced it new operating hours: It will open at 7 AM stay open continuously on Sunny days until 6 PM. It will open and close intermittently on cloudy days as necessary. During rain and typhoooooons the mall will remain closed. There will be alarms installed notifying customers when cloud cover will stop the operation of the escalators and the elevators so no one get stuck in the dark on the second floor over night. The NORECO II booth on the second floor now used for paying your electric bills will sell 100P tokens that can be used on the escalators to get you to the first floor using hard wired electricity for emergency exiting if necessary.
