I am wanting to purchase a few hectares for a farm in the mountains. The Dumaguete area is my first choice, but it seems be getting more expensive with each arriving expat. Has anyone spent any time in the mountain areas around San Carlos, Canlaon, or Don Salvador Benidicto? The area looks very pretty to me and I am guessing it is cheaper than Duma mountains, but I maybe wrong. My understanding is that the road to Bacolod is well maintained so you are still only a hour or so from a decent city, and Cebu is just across the strait. Any thoughts would be appreciated. David
