Can anyone give me any ideas how to phone Canada on the cheap. A friend of mine needs to get In touch with his business partners ASAP,pref from a landline in Duma? Or is there any other way?

cheapest way I know is magic jack you can call the U.S. and Canada for nothing once you buy the magic jack plus and plug it into your internet. I don't know where they sell them in Duma but someone here will know. if you get the magic jack plus you do not need a computer. just plug it in to your router and plug your phone into the magic jack.

Davy, if you use Globe, they have a prepaid TIPIDD card where you can get 40 minutes for 100p to call anywhere. That is what I use.

Majic Jack - works for me

MajicJacks works well for me. The calls are usually very clear, but there are problem calls which just I redial.. I think it is about $39.95 USD. I use a "walk around" phone hooked up to the majicjack device, and can even go outside. I bought my walk around at Gangs-north. You get to pick a phone number so I if you pick the right area code, everything is including in initial $39.95 for the first year. I speak to my son constantly with no worry about load or expensive calls. I have had problems loading money into my account for calls to other countries than USA and Canada, pacifically Australia. My friends have the number within their area code so they call back, and it is free to me and almost free to them.
