lying on the beach one day San Mig in hand it occurred to me that I could murder a genuine curry. The ingredients for Tandoor food are easily found in the Phils...ginger, garlic, chilli...Robs in Duma have some Indian spices too. So I built a Tandoor oven in the garden. The kids and wife love it and when in a genuine "isn't life fine, lets throw a party for the Purok" type of mood the locals adore it.

I ordered some real Tandoor skewers online and made a mate for life from the vendor who was blown away by shipping the order to an address he had never heard of. I've even wound up in a faux Bollywood type of video blog as a result and expect to be featured in The Times of India too.

We are not quite ready to cater for the starving, touring hordes and have no plans to launch a restaurant. We do naan bread, tandoor chicken and fish. I'd be happier if I could get my grubby mits on some proper Yogurt and some decent oven gloves as this thing blows at 470c and has burnt all the hairs off my arm. Um, the yogurt tenderises the meat, it doesn't soothe my burnt arms lol.

If I wasn't using my iPad I'd upload some photos...maybe later. Anyone here built something like that...eg Pizza ovens etc?
