i imagine many filipinos are born at home in the rural back hills or villages and never get birth certificates recorded....I imagine many grow up and move into work or get passports and travel for work,so there must be a way the PI state has for getting birthcertificates for undocumented people after they are adults looking for licenses, passports or any other real identification.... Where do they begin with this? im asking because a Neg.Or. born person told me there is problem getting ID or Passport because of no records or some confusion....or was it to shroud any chance of finding her real age? any info? who to ask, what to pay,how many days,
They need to apply for late registration of birth. Some documentation that will help are baptismal, school records, affidavits from attending physician/midwife, etc. The place to start is the local civil register where the birth took place, actual documents may vary somewhat depending on municipality. Will take at least 1-3 months to get birth recorded and records to NSO, once again depending on municipality. Larry
sounds good -thanks....So i guess to use- US Visa Specialists - if she needs guidance from the start of a passport to visa,or is it strictly visa help only?
We only assist with visas to the US, but have been known to point people the right direction in associated tasks!
