but the mouse is in control! Minnie Mouse, that is. Minnie (Rony) is your new forum owner. For those that don't know, Rony is my beautiful wife of 10+ years. There will be few immediate noticeable changes, but there will be changes. There will be sections added for popular topics such as immigration, home/land ownership/construction, etc., a new "private" forum for longstanding members only as a place for them to vent away from the public view, and some get-togethers so everyone can meet and socialize on a new more personal level. We also intend to make a "yellow page" directory listing most all businesses in Dumaguete. Mod01 will remain our moderator, although tough, the forum has been running pretty smoothly under his guidance. When Mod01 started, this forum was a mess with constant bickering and petty arguments. Dumaguete lost a great asset when it lost The Dane, a big thank you to The Dane for his time and effort to create this forum. We hope to expand and further promote the site and forum. I'm sure many of you have some suggestions also, please post them here, we would love to have your input and ideas to help make this forum and site a "go to" place for Dumaguete info, after all, what's in a name? Larry
Best wishes to you and Rony! I think the yellow page directory is a good idea .. On NY day when traffic was really light I took the opportunity to cruise around town looking at all the businesses. Would it be possible to put a "like" button next to the business? If someone has had a positive experience with the business that might be a good way to let us know... and avoid the problems with negative stuff.
a BIG CONGTATS TO YOU & YOUR WIFE! I WOULD LOVE TO MEET SOME OF THE OTHER MEMBERS AND PUT A FACE TO THEM -THOM-
I had a feeling....Congrats! I hope you & Rony (looking forward to meeting you both) will have fun with the site and be able to keep this bunch of misfits and ner-do-well's in line and on track( I know...I know...that what MOD01 is for). Looking forward to seeing your ideas and improvements!
Congrats to the both of you, and I am sure you will do better than I have since I moved to Baguio... I haven't been able to do much from the mountain and I am very happy to pass DI over to a local couple where it belong! I wish the best for you and I am sure DI will stay the best site about this beautiful area for many years to come! Cheers, The Dane
