Who can you recommend for local architect in Dumaguete?

A friend is planning to build a house near Bacong. Any tips on trustworthy and reliable architect here? Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't pay for the architects fees based on a percentage of the cost of the house, which a lot of the architects here want you to believe is the going rate.

 

My guy wasn't based on the value of the house, just a negotiated fair price.
I do agree to be careful, there's some scam's out there.

Try to talk to Moks, he is an architect working in the municipal hall of Bacong.
He is very reasonable.

 

Personally I would stop by "The Pirate Bay bar" and ask for a man named "Olgar." Among a host of other credentials he is a Land Surveyor. He has lived in Dumaguete for many years and is a wealth of information. Olgar is working at the Pirate Bay as a part time manager lately and works on construction for most of the day. He is a friendly and will tell you the truth about what you need. Olgar has himself been in business for many years here in Dumaguete.
