Negros Island Trade Fair 2015

Last May 2015, the province of Negros Oriental together with Negros Occidental finally became one and was named as the Negros Island. It was proclaimed by Senator Mar Roxas and was endored to the President of the Philippines, Mr. Noynoy Aquino. He agreed right away and so as the Government Officials of Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental. To properly welcome the new changes of the two provinces which had became one, The Department of Trade Industry together with the Government Officials, organized the Negros Island Trade Fair 2015. They would gather exhibitors from the two provinces to give them opportunities to promote and sell their items for local, national or even international events in the marketing industry. Mr. Javier Fortunato, the Department of Trade Industry provincial director said that this trade fair is made from processed food, non-food sectors and other products that are produced locally.

It started last Wednesday. July 15, 2015 and it was properly opened and announced by Governor Roel Degamo along with the Mayor of Dumaguet, Mr Manuel Sagarbarria together with the DTI regional director Ms. Asteria Caberte. This event will end on Sunday, July19, 2015. This is a five days affair represented by different booths with different products produced by livelihood, home made delicacies, fruits, vegetables, meat, desserts, pastries, herbal medicines, natural supplements, plants and handicrafts. The event is held inside Robinsons Mall Dumaguete City. The products in the trade fair are from Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental. This fair is very festive and lively since there are a lot of people inside the Mall. The place is always filled with locals and foreign tourist. They are always roaming around the mall. You can see how the people are enjoying this event and trade fair because they look happy after buying stuffs. They also feel satisfied after knowing some facts about a certain product.

Others food products are offering a free taste sample in order for people to taste their food before buying. This is a very good way to endorse a product so that people who are curious will have an idea. This event is organized for the Negros Island endorsement. This is actually the very first trade fair since the name Negros Oriental was changed into Negros Island. When you say food trade it means that you show your products for exposure. It is also an exhibition planned by companies and business entrepreneurs so that they can showcase their products. At the same time, you can study activities of rivals and know the recent market trends and opportunities. For new companies and businesses, this is their chance to gain an overview of the rivalry and competition. They will see their performance and their products.

Negros Island has a lot of towns, municipalities and cities but the event is held in Dumaguete City because it is the most accessible City of the other places in the island. Aside from the fact that Dumaguete is the Capital City of Negros, it is also the most civilized and booming City in the Island. It is really nice to visit this place and experience this trade fair.
