Before you get upset, this is just my experience... My personal experience. Your milage may vary. So, don't get offended or anything.

    --
If you can't find love in Thailand, don't waste your time in the Ph doing the same... I saw Rye83's post and agree with that. And have some firsthand experience with it :(

I've been here 3+ years, I've dated a whole bunch of girls/women, some where live-in girlfriends for months... Others lasted a few dates and some where nothing more than fuckbuddies.
None were sincere or for real or suitable for various reasons.

I've dated country girls, city girls, bar girls, students. Even a few who turned out to be hookers trying to find love... with or without a job. With and without education. With or without religion/family... They're all of the same generic mindset as far as I can tell.

Either their shitty family was in the way, or their greed and hunger for money. Or their attitude was sh*t.
Tons of young/middle ages women have atleast 1 kid.
Most have debt or obligations you don't want to be involved in too much.
Others were just too stupid to have a decent conversation with and couldn't think beyond talking about the weather and wishing they had rice and chicken for dinner.

It's just not worth the hassle...

As a rule I always sought after a adventurous woman who likes to go for a ride with me on a motorbike. All got homesick after a week or so - Which is a chore after a few weeks. And downright depressing after a few months.

If they had a job, the attitude and haughty bullshit struck time and time again. While leaning on my generosity.

Call me extremely unlucky, but that's how it was for me...
I'm sure there are better women out there. But I didn't find any. I gave up and am done with the Philippines in general, just because the people are so unbearable. Leaving the country soon.

But be warned, try not to end up like me

I've always been surprised that non citizen seniors have been able to take advantage of the occasional benefit which is plainly intended for the locals.
Enjoy it when you can, don't complain about it when you can't.

Last I read it took out 94 folks, 4 of the leaders to their cause...$ value to me seems worth it compared to US or coalition lives.

All they have to do is set up a checkpoint 100m either side of a cockpit 10 minutes the fights have stated and check all vehicles within the zone. Of course they would require the army to be there, to quell the riot that would ensue.

Just a note... A few friends and I went for another fun day at Bambulo last Saturday. The staff were all smiles and very attentive, beer was nice and cold, the pizza was delicious with just a tint of smoke flavor, good music and wifi at our table. My daughter and others went for a swim in the crystal clear pool's. Entrance is only P80 and that includes swimming and or miniature golf, free if you don't swim or swing a club.

Then the real fun started! We gave our ladies a beer or two then a putter and ball, we only had 1 rule and that was no rules.... Wow what a great day, can't wait to do it again.....

    I don't know.
Well Sir, I'm sure that you will be correct you usually are in your writings here (Fecking Smart Alex) it is highly likely they will touch on all the subjects you mention on an Architects Course there in PH as in the rest of the world and likely as you say it may well be in their final exams where the system falls short, I'm sure if they do well in the exam section where it concerns their Singing, Dancing and Clapping of hand skills, this is all that is required to Pass? An Architect is not a fully-fledged Engineer and the reason why their drawing have to be signed off by an engineer in order to gain planning permission, my own experience with both of these professionals did not go all that well. My house is completely bespoke to that of the standard CHB house there, our Architect was a relative of my partner as soon as he received my basic plan, he phoned me up to ask me, what is a Monolithic Slab? (This is a raft slab sometimes known as a floating slab without any foundation and well suited to building in PH with the risk of Quakes) he said he had never heard of this before, a quick search on Google was all he needed to find this out, however he drew up the plans and included foundations to parts of it and defeated the objective of this type of slab, there was a few other things that he had wrong and I had to have my plans amended with the original engineer involved, when I approached him to have this done I had to meet him in the car Park of Robinsons Mall? I had made a model of my intended house build, as soon as he looked at it, he started to shake his head telling me he knows nothing about structures of this nature, but he would do it provided I paid him a large sum of money, eventually I had my amended plans back now signed off by another Engineer? they only made one small change to the original plans this was an easy fix for them, they just doubled up the dimensions of the steel from the sizes on the original plan, it had now become uneconomical to build this using their idea, also the suggested sizes were not readily available there and this would have to be a special order, so I just went ahead and did it My Way, Feck them and the Horse they rode in on. It would appear to be a well-known fact that once any house building plans are passed there, you can go on with the build and do whatever you want as long as the house ends up close to the original dimensions.

For 7 months, almost all of the close to 2 million Negros Oriental people have put with and followed the rules, some of which have been rather foolish to put it mildly. Now because 2 people think that the virus only goes after a certain class of people, we are back to April.
I hope no one got rid of those Q Passes. I'm going out and stocking up on my essentials, wine and whiskey.
Latest, one more positive from the City Health Office. Waiting for the Market to be the next one closed for 'disinfection'.
Someone has some 'splaining to do. This is disgraceful conduct. Shame on them.

We have 3 cats and 2 dogs registered with them. Regular visits for vaccinations and the dogs have just been neutered. All has gone very well. The vet explains everything clearly and the staff are all polite and helpful. I got a price from another vets in town for the neutering just to compare, and Cats & Dogs were much cheaper. Unsurprisingly, the other place was empty both times I've been there (also went once for some medication C & D did not have). I would highly recommend them on performance and value so far.

@jim787 You mentioned that Dr. Chua (he's the guy at Holy Child?) charges a lot compared to your dentist. If the girls teeth are a complete disaster there may be a lot more work than an ordinary filling at Php 800.
I went to see him for a consultation. My dentist who will remain nameless so I don't get sued or shot pushed a dental implant up between my pallet and the sinus membrane. His idea was to pull the skin off the roof of my mouth, cut a hole through the pallet and go find the wayward implant. None of that seemed like a good idea to me so I went to see Dr. Chua. I ask him to remove the implant. He said No way. He told me to go to an implant specialist at a hospital in Cebu. When I told him my dentist wanted to perform the procedure in the chair in his office Dr. Chua turned an ashen colour. It seems that procedure needs to be performed in a sterile surgery.
My point being sometimes dental work can be more complicated than appears.

Today I finally got my dental implant procedure completed by Dr. Cordeta and am as pleased as punch. Her price was higher than the "implant specialist" in Cebu. I rejected the guy in Cebu's treatment plan because it was seriously flawed.

I'll write an explanation tomorrow complete with pictures with what I had done and more importantly WHY the treatment cost a bit more.
