Yes, I know it's technically their fault but they are not going to stop doing it just because we want them to so a bit of caution is warranted on the drivers part to avoid wasting many, many hours of filing reports and insurance claims that get nothing accomplished except you pay the tab either for repairs or in higher premiums for insurance in the future.
Some other good rules to use when going into a blind curve is to honk your horn to warn any idiot trying to pass someone in the other direction coming around that blank corner. Better to honk than get into a head on collision with a sugarcane truck or a$$hat motorbike.
Also at night it helps to flash your brights in the same blank corners or curves for the same reason.
Lotz of Di#kh#ads here don't' have insurance, license or two piso to rub together to pay for repairs or even headlights and the TMG doesn't enforce the rules anyway.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.-

- Thread: Another 13a Visa Question.
I have a 13A Permanent Visa, but this Permanent Visa only lasts 5 years and has to be renewed. Rather annoying, as once my wife and I were married in the UK, the British Authorities treated her like a natural born Brit. Makes you feel second class and never really accepted in this society.

I hope they have a night crew and keep the monitoring 24/7. Hanging up the rifle and taking off the boots at 5pm would of course leave an open window for the bad guys. My boy has his bow and arrows ready just in case.

So I've heard there are 50,000 iligals from the ph in the UK, they are not hounded like some are here. If they are caught they are treated with respect and even when imprisoned they are fed with comfortable beds and good food until deported.
And again unlike the ph!
The legal ones nearly have the same rights as any UK citizen have, they pay their stamp and taxes and they get treated with respect by the UK. In general the Filipinos who are there have a pretty good life albeit only a 2 year visa but can return if they wish.
The ones I knew in my small town all lived in a rented house and shared the bills, they sent most of their money to their families back here.
Maybe one day the ph will get the drift and respect us also like they do when they are in our country's.-

Thinking more about this, we need to offer advice to those entering a relationship with a filipina, if they wisely use our forum for consideration. I will speak out because I had one costly nightmare experience and fortunately one happy marriage. The heart of the matter is some of these "chicks" are world class schemers. What I learned the hard way is, "if you can't trust them, you can't love them", and terminate the relationship no matter the investment. It doesn't get better, it only gets worse.

Worst thing i ever did was get my wife to change her last name to mine as it now qualifies her for the foreigner pricing structure which seems to be legal here, would be called racism in most other countries, in the UK foreigners arrive daily in small boats with no ID and are welcomed with free hotels, medical care, food and a bit of spending money, should send them here, problem would go away very quick.-
