I would buy more locally if I didn't have to waste the better part of a day driving around to 20 different shops, struggling to find a parking spot at each location...and maybe not even be allowed in depending on the day of the week due to the pass system, to maybe find what I was looking for. Usually what I'm looking for is "out of stock" or if available it is overpriced Chinese garbage. Until local business owners step up their game I have little interest in supporting them and their sub-par products when I can just go online and get exactly what I am looking for. I don't even see the items that have higher prices as actually being more expensive; my vehicle wear and tear, fuel, time and sanity is worth far more than any price difference I have found online.

If this comes about in my lifetime I would hope they put enforcers at these lights. My experiences with traffic lights in Bacolod, is when it turns red you can count at least 4 - 5 cars still going through the light. If you plan on stopping look in your rearview because the person behind might have another idea in mind. I know about yellow, speed up to beat the red. But I have actually seen people at least 50 meters or more away speed up when the light turns red so they don't have to stop. Just because you have a green light, proceed with caution. If the enforcers really stop these terrible drivers and hit them in the pocket book, then maybe they will learn to behave. But, since a general attitude of drivers seems to be, the law applies to everyone else, not me, I doubt this will help, it will probably lead to more accidents.

- Thread: Generator Repair
O.K., my generator is fixed now. They picked it up at the house last Thursday afternoon and was delivered back today about 2:00 p.m.. The owner himself came to the house to look at it Thursday to determine the problem. A half hour later his boys came with the truck to pick it up. Friday he had us come to his shop to see what they found bad in the alternator. So we told him to go ahead with the fix which would require a rewind. The boys brought it back today, I tested it under load and all is well. Total cost from him P6500. I consider that quite fair.
The company is Marlet Electrical and Rewinding Shop. Mario P. Sorila. He's on what I call the BIR road in Bagacay not too far from the Dumaguete Valencia road. (035) 421-0371 or 0916-458-8803.
All types AC DC motor & generator repair and other electrical related issues.
He doesn't do engine repair, but anything electrical in generators is his specialty.-

- Thread: Parking Rules
The actual traffic law says that even if it is posted "No Parking" you are allowed to temporarily stop for the purpose of picking up or dropping off a passenger or goods from a business. You are supposed to put on your blinkers and are allowed up to 15 minutes. Twice I've received tickets for that and I went into the office and explained that I wasn't "parked" I was just "temporarily stopped" to make a pick up, I brought a printout of the regulation with me to show them, and they voided the ticket.

- Thread: THUNDER ROAD BAR AND GRILL
They couldn't miss the fact I had a rotten meal as I spent 5 minitues in the CR throwing my stomach contents into the toilet bowl!
They also said no charge for the meal , but I was with a very respectable friend of mine that insisted of paying for it, even though there was no way I was going to pay for the pleasure of being physically sick,
I have no axe to grind and the reason I posted here was because I think any business that advertises here needs to know that I got served garbage, the boss/owner was not on site when this happened and I am sure you have brought them up to date ,
As far as my reviews go, I have in the past had fantastic meals and should have posted about them, my finest meals being had in gerrys on the beach shame it's now gone, la fiesta always a d*mn good feed to name but a few ,
As far as this goes I won't feel any need not to post because you seem to think it should be kept private , I will always post negative or positive and not feel cornered into saying what is true!
I will be doing a couple more reviews when I get to my pc as I find it harder to use my cell phone to reply
Take it as you see it-

- Thread: Need a doctor
A VERY small minority of members actually resent being given information, especially if it consists of more than a few words - they seem not to grasp that they have the ability to skip what they don't like or what overloads them!
But at the times someone needs information, it can often be found here on this Forum on a wide range of subjects and posted by members with a huge combined range of knowledge and experience (that is the only reason I was able to construct that list). Very many will go out of their way to help and that is the real strength of this really amazing website.-

After seeing several pups and their parents today I decided against a German Shepard. Several King Shepards in the area and those are just too big (fine for me but got a "wtf!?" when my gf saw the mother and I explained the father was even bigger, I want her to be comfortable with the full grown version and not just the cute puppy size) and shed far too much for keeping in the house, with additional hip/joint issues down the road.
I found some regular German Shepherd pups with a mom that had a very sweet, labrador level, temperament. However, even with the mom being freshly bathed and obviously taken care of the shedding was too much for me.
I decided against the Belgian Malinois since my gf has little experience with aggressive/high maintenance/high energy working dogs. I figured I would go with something a bit more manageable for her and, more importantly, my sanity.
After some research I decided to go with a husky. Shedding still an issue but it seems this breed does so seasonally...or maybe not since the season doesn't really change much here. I guess I'll find out. I was also concerned with the heat here being a bit much for the breed but it appears they adapt to warmer climates and have little issue as long as you take some basic precautions.
It has only been half a day but I'm quite happy with this pup. It has a playful but gentle temperament and when the tv comes on it sits and watched quietly.Attached Files:

- Thread: looking to move to Duma
This thread is not about COVID and will not turn into one.
To answer the OP's question: yes, travel to Negros is possible. No, it is not worth the trouble and you would have all kinds of problems trying to get all the proper documentation. Wait until all this nonsense is over.-
