My Son is 5yrs soon to be 6 and I will be over there for his Birthday early Dec, I'm hoping to get him and his Mum over here to Scotland, I had built a house there for them both to live long term but now realise it would be better for them both to reside in Scotland.
My big concern is for him to get a good education, I'm sure even the best Private Schools there in PH fall short of what can be had here in UK, I have another son of 47yrs here in UK he has done so well for himself, now owning his own business, educated here in a mainstream School to then go on to get a degree at Edinburgh University, none of this cost me a penny as Education is free for everyone in Scotland.
Eldest Son has taken and interest in his half brother and even visited him there in PH, I was back in UK at this time, however as it happens he does Employ Filipinos there in Manila to assist in his business.
Another side to this is; if anything had to happen to me (soon to be 71yrs and officially a Coffin Dodger?) my big Son would be here and available to assist his young Brother in any way he could.

- Thread: A tale of 3 hospitals
Regarding my experience i am glad to say that i haven't had much previous inpatient stays either here or in the UK and the ones that i did have were a long time ago so i don't have much to go on but i will give you my opinion on the pros and cons of Polymedic.
PROS
Large onsite parking area as oppose to Silliman and Holy child.
New building and all equipment, AC and elevators in working order.
Food was edible.
Cafe onsite with brewed coffee.
Most of all i survived it
CONS
Very far from where we live.
Cafe not open 24 hrs so nightshift watcher had to bring her food in as nothing in the area selling food.
Most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept or tried to sleep in, metal frame with 2 inch thick mattress.
Sleep depravation as apart from the aprox 2 hourly visits for vital signs and medication there would be visits to tell this was the new shift change nurse or to get a signature that could have waited until morning.
And this is most important, at the initial consultation i asked the doctor for an aprox price but the final bill was 50% more than his estimate.
All said and done i would use Polymedic again for any future problems but next time i might try to nail them down to a more accurate price estimate, at the end of the day if you need the treatment then you have to accept the price.-

I think this article, whether from the BBC or whomsoever, excellently correlated information which may have been published already but is very scattered. Articles such as the one I used put information together from various sources to save people doing hours of online research and if a person does not know what to seek then they will never find it. It seems that would not apply to you as you already know it ALL.
Btw, I wrote this to inform those who are interested.-

Two Filipinos were arrested in Bacong last night and ended up in the local jail. They out after the 9:00 pm and they didn't have a QP.

Best AnswerI wish you all the best mate, as I now also face my own mortality for the second time in 9 years, (stage 4 cancer). My remission is over and only recent medication,(very expensive), seems to have applied the brakes to things a little.
It is easy to say, but try and relax a bit more, consult whoever needs to be consulted(medically speaking) and never give up. I have also try to adhere to the old adage, "Still breathing, still fighting".
I wish you the best of luck, medical knowledge and send you good vibes.-

Locked Rotor Amps, sometimes abbreviated LRA, is exactly what the name implies. If the rotor is locked and can't move while electrical power is applied, the motor will draw this many amps. Locked Rotor Amps are much higher than running amps, generally around five times max running amps.
full-load-amperage
This value can also sometimes be referred to as: Running Amps, Rated Amps, or just AMPS. ... For motors with a service factor of 1.0, drawing substantially more current than its rated-full-load-amperage indicates an overload situation.
If you can understand the above you will understand what I am about to explain to you here.
If you place an amp probe in the circuit of any motor you will get these kinds of AMP READINGS.
1. The motor is not turning (it is off). You power it up, (plug it in). The amps WILL momentary spike to Locked Rotor Amps and immediately drop back to its run amps.
2. You as a domestic user will not notice that very small bump in amps because of its very short duration in that spike and the fact that your motor load is also very small.
3. If you are a large commercial user like a machine shop or say a mall you MIGHT see a spike in your bill.
4. Here is where the money comes in; Add all the motors in the entire system both big and small. There will be a very large spike in the load at the power plant, (in amps), amps is money to the power producers.
5. Now you do the math. ALL of US will share in that spike in amps one way or another, $.
Just in case you were wondering. I owned and operated an Air conditioning service company for 18 years. You can not run an Air conditioning service company with out an extensive knowledge in both electricity and pluming. I got most of that knowledge by attending UAA for 4 years. UAA = University of Alaska Anchorage.-

Not being religious in any way, I will only wish him the best, I've been fighting the same illness for the last nine years, my thoughts are with him & his family at this time.
For all male members on this forum, please have your P.S.A. checked from time to time, especially when over 40 years old. I know it is not definitive, but it is one of the few indicators that could warn us in advance of possible problems.
Cost is around P1,950 per test in S.U.M.C., I don't know any other hospitals' charges, as I only use them.-

And remember, folks, it is often the smoke that kills - so have a way out planned, emergency lights installed, crawl on the floor, cover your mouth, get out quickly (no going back for that SM in the fridge!)-
