No-one can read what you have written without feeling the most real, true and deepest sympathy for you, your wife and other family members.

We cannot imagine what you have gone through and are still suffering now.

The most important thing in your quest for answers and more, is to take care of yourselves. This is a very stressful time for you and you have to protect your feelings as you proceed.

We can only give you our very best wishes and hope you find some form of satisfaction in your quest but understand why that will never be any real compensation to you.

As opposed to being a big juicy target for the old fart homes back in the West. They steal more from the elderly and their families than any petty criminal could every possibly make away with. Hiring nurses and guards is going to be much cheaper than letting those criminals in the West "take care" of your elderly parents.

Thank you for your support Liverpool Fan  You are absolutely correct, the mother is one of the many beach dogs in Dauin who just happened to choose our garden to have her pups. We are trying to look after them but not possible due to the fact we are leaving soon. However, we do not want to add to the growing numbers of wild beach dogs so trying to find them a good home as an alternative.

Actually for your information osodelnorte, I am sitting a city vet right now with the mother getting her spayed. The residents of our compound have clubbed together and will get 4 of the beach dogs spayed at our own expense, time and energy. Thanks for your interest perhaps you would like to contribute too as you seem concerned about the numbers of dogs out there?

"The strict implementation of the “No Helmet” policy kicked off yesterday. It was an offshoot of findings that the majority of motorcycleaccident fatalities were caused by severe head injuries."

Actually if they look again I am sure they would find the majority of motorcycle accident fatalities were caused by idiots that should not be driving in the first place, drunk, no lights, no mirrors, not looking before pulling out, not caring if there is room for passing....

I have been trialing a DITO SIM in Valencia and Dumaguete and have been very impressed with the service and costs. As a second sim and data service if you live in these areas I highly recommend trying it.

Compared to Globe and Smart in my current location their coverage is far superior
    - I get no coverage with my long-term Globe number and data just does not work when you need it. And its much the same in DGT
-Likewise crap service with Smart even when I can see the tower the data is intermittent and often unusable.
    - I can send and receive SMS in my basement when Globe hardly works on the second floor fire escape and often cannot send SMS or receive OTP on SMS.
-Speedtest >40MBps Up and Down with <10ms Ping time

    Cost
    - I was very happy with the first 99PHP for 30 days so I loaded the Advance Pay for 365 days at only 713PHP. 96GB Data, 400min to all networks, Text unlimited to all networks. That is 13USD for a year backup and data SIM.
    - This outright smashes Globe for cost savings, ease of use and loading their damned promos every 7 days is a pain in the behind and often does not work for days and just sucks credit while your trying to load a promo. Yes you can do 30 day promos but the costs are not far off DITO for 365 days.
    - I hate paying for Data packs with Globe to find they never work when I need them

Network Coverage in Negros Oriental (4G towers)
    City of Tanjay
    Dumaguete
    Mabinay
    Sibulan
    Valencia (Luzurriaga)

    Things to consider
-Still need the Globe phone for out of DGT and Valencia so dual SIM setup with DITO is ideal, I can toggle Data network as required between the two depending where I am.
    - I can just load 100PHP onto Globe and use it as required without a Promo, this should massively reduce the monthly costs for a service that hardly works
    - Brilliant Data backup for power outages and fixed line internet issues - Data actually works very well
    - Network will likely slow when more users get on board but that also depends on their config and build quality
    - Globe will claim they need more towers to fix their issues but having worked on 100's of their sites and dozens of Smart sites I know site numbers is not the issue, build quality and site configuration is terrible.
    - I passionately hate giving Globe any money for their poor service while the duopoly remains the most profitable cellular providers in South East Asia.

12 years ago I used to take my to-be wife to the Pancake House in Fort Bonifacio, where we lived, every day for breakfast. Today we went to the new one in Bantayan on
Airport Road before Silliman farm, left side.
Very good food, I had a Spanish omelete and a crispy waffle, wife had beef tapas, and boy had blueberry pancakes and a side of bacon. Nice menu, open all day. Suggest going after 10am, at least on Saturdays.

Here's hoping that we can all look forward to a year that will give re-newed hope to all those who are suffering the effects of the recent storm that hit Philippines.
A year that sees an end to the Covid virus and good health return.
That peace will reign throughout the trouble spots around the world.
May you all find 2022, a year best remembered for change for better for all nations.
All my good wishes to the forum and their families.....God bless JB

Tried stopping by their old location today. They had a sign saying they had relocated to Siliman Avenue and would reopen on the 18th. Drove by the new location to verify. They are located between the Moooooooon Cafe and Jo's Chicken. I think there was a KTV there previously.

There is a newish Thai restaurant that I tried last night called Aquarius. It's about 2 km south of Dauin down a short lane on the ocean side of the highway. The couple recently moved here after living for quite a while in Koh Lanta running a dive shop. The wife is a filipina but cooks authentic Thai, at least from the dishes we tried. Our first time so we had the som tam and tom yum and our friends had satay and larb. The som tam, tom yum and satay were excellent, after living in Thailand for the past 5 years I was pleased at how good the food was. They said they toned the spices down for the local clientele so if you like it spicy you have to let them know. Very accommodating couple with good food. We're already talking about a second visit.
