Even on the stormiest nights the clouds open up for a brief period of time. Of course I have to stay up and drink beers until the sky finally clears (that gives me an idea for another song. It's been a while since I've written a song. My last song was a country song: "My Heart is on Fire and You're Sitting on my Hose").
Here are some cool images of our Solar System neighbors from the past week.

As a frequent weekly visitor of this place I love to go there on my bike to enjoy the pleasant ride via San Antonio and then enjoy the relaxed staying in the hot spring for about 45 min. which seems more than enough in thermal water.
Before leaving home yesterday, I made a stop @a gasoline station to fill up full to make sure I could make it up and down. On my way back home the engine all the sudden did not react on the throttle and finally stopped. I had a look on my fuel meter and guess what.....empty. WTF some @ss hole drained my whole tank about 4 litres. Is not the money that is involved but running out of gasoline in the middle of nowhere is no fun. I was lucky I choose the San Antonio road which is almost downhill all the way to the highway. Just the last few hundred meters I had to walk. But still no gasonline as the nearest station is Caltex next to the municipality hall of Sibulan. Have to make some arrangements with someone to get gasoline in a jerrycan and going back to my motorbike where I left it (was still there). put the gasoline in the tank and, engine did not start. It turns out that the gasoline hose was disconnected so that no fuel could get into the carburettor. I was unable to fix it so finally we tow the motorbike home and called for a mechanic.
Next week I will go to Red Rock hot spring again and inform the owners or the people running that place to take remedial action.-

- The Global Typhoon Forecast Models (GTFM) are predicting this system to become a Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 to 48 hours and shall track generally westward towards Western Micronesia. The forecast confidence is currently at HIGH.
- The Day 03 Forecast shows LPA 93W as a Tropical Storm (TS) entering the southeastern border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday morning, Feb 11, with a medium forecast confidence.
- The Day 04 Forecast shows the system making landfall as a TS or Severe Tropical Storm (STS) along Caraga Region on Monday Evening (Feb 12) or Early Tuesday Morning (Feb 13). The confidence of this 4-day forecast is currently low.
- LPA 93W is still too far to directly affect any part of the Philippines.
- This 24-hour StormWatch Update will be replaced with a 12-hrly Tropical Cyclone Updates once the LPA develops into a Tropical Cyclone with a serious threat to the Philippine Islands.

Coffee groove is on the bacong to valencia rd around 1km from the top on left side.
Dropped by today as a few people had mentioned it was good, very nice coffee but a limited menu for food but what they had was very good. Not bad for prices either.
Very nice cold aircon with pleasant background music for a change.
Highly recomended.

I think, in more general terms, 'aliens'are going to find life tougher as regulations separate them more and more from citizens; the changes to Philhealth are a recent example. It is fine with me as it is their country and I can leave if I don't like it, but I would like my home country to reciprocate likewise instead of treating every foreigner the same as (often better than!) its own citizens-

- Thread: thunder road
there was a thread on here about thunder road a few months back. i have veen stoping by there occasionally, it is almost always very dead, i am usually teh only one there. i always wondered why, as it seemed a great little getaway, nice grounds and pool ok food, cold beer. i stooped in there late saturday night, there was a good live band going and lots of people. everyone was habing a good time, it seemed. i was sitting about two stoolds down from the aussie owners wife, who was very drunk. a guy came down and asked about a pack of cigaretts he had left on the bar, she imediatly blew up, and started screeching about him accusing her of stealing his pack of cigaretts. He did no such thing, he just asked politely if anyone had seen them. the aussie owner came down, i thought to see what the ruckes was about, as she was screeching at the top of her lungs. instead of askng any questions of what was going on, he just told the guy to F**CK OFF, get out of there. she was still screeching when i left about 15 minutes later.
i gues i understand now why there is seldom anybody going there. i wont be going back.-

- Thread: 11 Weeks and counting
After 35 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the past 5 years in Sedona, AZ, in just 11 short weeks we will be making our big move to our new house in the hills above Sibulan. I have been lurking on this forum for awhile, and enjoyed all the information on everything from health care and insurance and visas to where to get the best lechon. Finally decided it was time to sign up and say hello.
