This is incredible. The green dots on this Google Earth map represent radio stations all over the world.
Click on anyone of them and you will immediately hear that station with very good reception. For example, halfway up Ireland’s east coast, there is a station playing Irish pub music.
If you click on a city with more than one station it will list the stations on the side.
Zoom in, the Google Earth graphics are great.

T'was a month before Christmas,
And all through the town,
People wore masks,
That covered their frown.
The frown had begun
Way back in the Spring,
When a global pandemic
Changed everything.
They called it corona,
But unlike the beer,
It didn’t bring good times,
It didn’t bring cheer.
Airplanes were grounded,
Travel was banned.
Borders were closed
Across air, sea and land.
As the world entered lockdown
To flatten the curve,
The economy halted,
And folks lost their nerve.
From March to July
We rode the first wave,
People stayed home,
They tried to behave.
When summer emerged
The lockdown was lifted.
But away from caution,
Many folks drifted.
Now it’s November
And cases are spiking,
Wave two has arrived,
Much to our disliking.
It’s true that this year
Has had sadness a plenty,
We’ll never forget
The year 2020.
And just ‘round the corner -
The holiday season,
But why be merry?
Is there even one reason?
To decorate the house
And put up the tree,
Who will see it,
No one but me.
But outside my window
The snow gently falls,
And I think to myself,
Let’s deck the halls!
So, I gather the ribbon,
The garland and bows,
As I play those old carols,
My happiness grows.
Christmas is not cancelled
And neither is hope.
If we lean on each other,
I know we can cope-

Last night during my observing session I noticed that there were bright spotlights coming from Dumaguete and Valencia. I wondered 'WTF?" since there is a quarantine/lock-down/curfew in effect to keep us safe. After a little internet research I found that these lights were to honor the Front-liners in the futile war against that nasty virus. Being the opportunist that I am, I decided to put my fish-eye lens to good use after I wiped it down with a 70% alcohol solution and said a prayer.
Here you see the lights from Dumaguete in the East and Valencia in the West merging at my meridian (the imaginary line that runs north-south in the sky):
I also happened to catch the International Space Station traversing the sky:
(facing SW)
Finally, a shot of the lights from Valencia illuminating the night sky between the Big Dog (Canis Major) and the Hunter (Orion):
This was very nice to watch from my vantage point!
I even put the telescopes away!-

- Thread: It's a harsh life
I have this place selling veggies that I regularly use in Dumaguete.
It's a shack like most others.
They always have stray dogs and sometimes cats.
Today I heard a kitten crying for help, I responded and he came out after some time.
His face and ears was full of infections and fungi. I fed him some sardines that I had bought and told him I will come back.
After instructing the veggie seller to give him a bowl of water, I went to buy some remedies and soap/gloves.
He was sleeping when I returned, must have been full of sardines.
I put on disposable nitrile gloves and prepared the Safeguard. Unscrewed the fungus balm and started to clean him.
No cat likes water they say, so to no surprise he tried to resist. I changed grip to the neck skin as their mothers do and he calmed down.
Oh my god, his ears was packed with this thick dry layer, inside and out. Around his nose and eyes.
After Safeguard I started rubbing in the balm, he now started to purrr. I think being touched and me massaging and scrubbing off this layer on the skin made him feel loved.
He seems like a nice little guy and I would take him in if it was not for my landlord.
I am going to follow him up with applying more balm and feed him, but is there anyone in here that has room for him in their lives?
Here is two photos of him, one before my treatment and the other after.

Hi all, I don't normally recommend many trade people but this time I must. I've been scammed before, but this time my expected results were exceeded. His name is John Paul Villaflores, I have known him for over 10 years. He speculized In helping foreigners dealing with government agencies and to research land deals including paperwork, plus managing rental properties. He is one of the most honest men I have ever met and there has never been a complaint as far as I know. Anyway he has put together a really good construction crew so I hired him for a difficult job raising the roof on my 2 storey house. When I gave him the first stage payment the needed materials started showing up at my gate within a few hours. He actulally had better ideas than I did! We agreed to a fixed price and he stuck to it. The work was excellent and other than one day the crew was always here and ready to go.
If you want to see his work or his contact info just send me a PM. This is only my account and have nothing to gain
EDIT, Here is his number, 0915 463 9269-

- Thread: Casablanca Lunch
We haven’t been able to have a family lunch at Casablabca for quite a while. Our boy had exams and finished early so the three of us went out for a special occasion. My wife and I shared a seared tuna with eggplant starter. She had a huge grilled chicken salad, I had a tasty chicken quesadilla and my son had pancakes. Gunther served us some home made Italian ice cream.
The south highway to Bacong at night is too dangerous so we never go out for dinner so it is great that there are good lunch restaurants.-

Picked this up as I thought it looked cool, was not a fan of the yellow so had it repainted. Now I think it looks really cool. I have a few more ideas to really make it stand out but need to see it in person first. Hopefully they put everything back together correctly...will find out tomorrow when the wife picks it up from the shop.
