Wife and I tried FOOD REHAB Last night. I was NOT IMPRESSED! I had the "What the Truck" ₱199.oo and the wife had the "Aloha Burger" ₱169.oo. She said that she liked her burger. Both of our fires were COLD. I sent the empty ketchup bottle back with a request for one that had some ketchup in it. My request for ketchup was ignored. I ate cold, dry fries. My burger was not completely cooked, raw in the middle. The size of the meal was good but with the cold fries and raw burger I ate less that half of it. I did not bother bringing it home for the dog. I prepared and ate a better meal at home, Chicken Mami Cup-A-Noodle Soup. So much for a night out for dinner with wife.:frown::hungover:

We enjoyed our evening there last night. As a previous poster mentioned very surprised once door opened to see the amazing decor and red colours, certainly different.
The Spanish owner was very open an attentive, he was often at table clearing plates away an chatting. Very nice guy.
Beware the portions are enormous, biggest experienced, after we shared a starter both of us were full. We did partake in a main how ever left totally full. Owner treated us to a coffee an a Spanish snaps before leaving.
One thing to note is the emphasis is definitely on karaoke which may not suit everyone, as soon as 8pm came he gave my partner a song book an encouraged her to sing. We are not into this but many could well be.
It was very quiet, we had the large resto pretty much alone.
Quality of food was fresh an good, for our tastes would of preferred it spiced up, still this could be Spanish style, you will not leave hungry.....

When eating "foreigner" foods remember foreigners come from many locations, consequently the hamburger (goes for all dishes) at an American based/run place will taste totally different in a European based/run restaurant or a Filipino based/run restaurant. Do not expect your favorite dish to taste like you favorite dish at home, although sometimes it does happen.

I went to Mike, on Black Saturday (3-26-2016). There was about 90 people there, with many families and children. The food was great as usual, but there was something unique going on. Even with all the people there, it was quiet, not like many other places with screaming and yelling, kids running around like rabid dogs. There was no horseplay either... just the tranquil environment of the resort and ocean. As always Mike's Beach Resort show it has class and classy customers too. Mike has a very "people oriented" personality so it always makes for a nice visit there.

5 years ago today we had our wedding reception at Casablanca so we celebrated our anniversary there. Tonight we were blessed to have our son Kennedy with us who will turn 4 next week. Further blessing was Guenther, Kennedy's Godfather, coming in with an absolute beautiful flower arrangement for Crislyn and also cooked us a fabulous gourmet meal. Thanks to my wife for marrying me and for Guenther for making the night special and fond memories of 5 years ago.

General Statement: What is not understood here by most business operationers is the foreigner mentality of customer loyal and brand build up. Part of that loyalty by the foreigner crowd is that we are minorities here, and like to go to places we feel comfortable with, not changing the establishments we purchase more times than we change our underwear. If they can over charge you for one drink and put an extra 10 P in their pocket, it does not matter to them if they never see you again. Remember it is only what they can do to get that next meal here, not what they should do to insure a a healthy business that provides a long time livelihood here for them..

Opinions are like eyes and a#@holes, (we all have 1 or 2). I quit going there after several less than acceptable experiences over the years. I expect good service from a 4ner owned establishment. Service, cleanliness and quality of food are paramount too getting hold of my entertainment money. The staff have been there for years and most days (busy or not) one has to stand, wave or go to the inside for their attention at which point they seem disinterested in whether or not you are enjoying the place.
With proper management, a staff who puts in an effort for their pay (makes for good tips) this place could be the most successful venue on the blvd. With so few places left on the bvld to spend a few hours I think it's a shame this real estate is wasted in it's current use...

Masks are not meant to protect the wearer....they are to protect others from our sneeze or cough droplets. We wear them out of respect for others. The only masks that will provide the wearer any protection is an N95/respirator masks, which are very hard to come by.

Here is Mike's web site with room rates. We go there for a getaway often. What is expensive for one staying on the beach may be considered affordable to others.

Korean: PEARL, slightly better, on Hibbard down from Bianco
Pizza / Italian: my vote is PASTA KING, Locsin at Santa Catalina, shouldn't vote on pizza tho, haven't been to Rolling Pin yet, maybe next week..
Best Eggs Benedict: ALIMA, followed closely by CASABLANCA.
Best in Sibulan? Was going to say AZALEA, but it's in San Jose on the way to Lake Balinsasayao, great views / quiet / ambience / good food

In general, ALIMA and ANDAMO, both new places run by local folks who have experience in the states, have some of the Best Tastes. The Pan-Seared fish at ALIMA is out of this world (as is the Asian Chicken Salad), around the corner behind the 7-11 slightly across from Silliman Med Cntr. ADAMO behind EA car wash (best car wash <grin>), National just north of Cangs.

Best Humba; GABBI'S on Rivero, also ESTRELLA'S, Zamora near Valencia Square and LANTAW
Best Schnitzel: CASABLANCA (& big enough to feed a family)

You also missed Best M*xic*n (or is that still a no-no?).. SENIORITA'S is so m*xic*n that when the waitress was asked if the owner was from the United States, she replied, "No Sir, he's from Texas.".....

Best Filet Mignon: haven't found it yet, agree with Jens,
    Ribeye: maybe SALAYA.

AND FOR G**D'S SAKE, will someone teach restaurant staffs (and owners and managers) here that Appetizers come FIRST, followed 15 min later (or so) by the MAIN COURSES, SERVED TOGETHER, REPEAT, TOGETHER, REPEAT, TOGETHER...WHY is that so difficult, not 20 minutes apart... ??? (i know, picky, picky, picky)...

    Thanks Irenicus
