Right, like the extra money (from what little there is from operating a trike) would ever go into maintaining the things. If it moves under its own power then it ain't broke. Doesn't matter how much black soot is coming out the rear.

Parked there several times, once for 3 nights with no problems. Just inform the guards that you will be staying overnight and they will record your plate... 150 peso fee per night

That would result in an instant raise of prices and lowering of quality. Starbucks has some of the worst coffee and most ridiculous prices.

Had my seat restuffed with thicker and better foam, as well as covered with a handstitched leather at Requina's Upholstery, slightly opposite of Cang's on North Highway. Their Facebook page.
Was all done within seven hours and costs were about 1,500 one year ago.

your biggest problem is going to be charging it, a few days of brownout, will take care of all that. Having lived in China for 10 years, I can assure you, you will have grief with it, all parts will have to be sourced from China, and thats when they will screw you, the Chassis and engine will have sub par parts, it will be nothing but a nightmare

Silly man, but the piece I quoted above says it all about their attitudes towards foreigners.

Here is a thread from a few years ago. Some ideas of where to look and the last post has a first name.
    https://dumagueteinfo.com/board/thr...counseling-family-therapy-psychologist.22940/

I'll warn you it's from the male perspective. The last post is a member who offers help and is a psychologist, but I haven't seen a posting from her in my time here so not sure how you would reach out. Maybe an admin can help. Her name is Christine.

I'd be pretty concerned when you need pre-marriage counseling. That usually comes after a few years of marriage. It's good that you recognize there are issues and are trying to resolve before you get married. The truth usually lies somewhere between the right and left perspectives.

Another thread from this forum. Mr C is a specialist and has some thoughts.

Here is a newspaper article on the Behavioral Science Clinic (BSC) in Barangay Candau-ay, Dumaguete City.

Here is the resume of a Silliman faculty member that may do work on the side. Her email is in the resume.

    Good luck!

So I did end up finding something, 'hiding in plain sight', on OLX. It's in Sibulan, about 3-kilometers from the ferry terminal, right on the National Highway. They're not really targeting short-term, the units are a LOT larger than I needed, but not too pricey IMO. Just happy that they had a unit available.

Just search OLX for 'Private storage warehouse' and it should come up.

Jimf, not sure about the Chinese coming hee, but I think it is safe to say foreigners move here because:
    1. Cheaper overall cost of living for retirement
    2. Good year round weather
    3. Attractive young ladies
    4. Pretty good diving
    5. Most locals understand English
    6. If you find you don't like it here, you can hop over to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia
