First off, settle down. We aren't experts in starting businesses in the Philippines. Expect replies which are off. Also consider that Dumaguete is a seriously challenging region for making money starting a business.
My advice is that if you are asking for information from anyone other than your lawyer then you aren't asking the right person. This is an investment which will pay off in money and time. If you are serious about this business , then you will seek advice from a legal professional.

Brian Oinks That's Mr. Pig to you Boy! :) Highly Rated Poster
Seen it so many times here. One lane blocked due to too much traffic, so the impatient twats take up the oncoming lane and turn it into a two lane road block so that the other lane cannot flow as it should. Serves the idiots right if they lose their Car/ Bike or whatever. Same goes for those short cutting through One Way roads to get to the other side quicker. Rules are Rules and if you are too stupid to wait your turn then great; suffer the consequences! Now they just need to enforce these Laws and actually start penalising those who break those Laws. I don't eat Popcorn but I would happily grab a Bucket and sit by the side of the road to watch this happen...

- Thread: Best things about Dumaguete
I think the best thing about Dumaguete is that it's not Manila, Cebu or any other metropolitan area. It's still just a provincial urban center. It's trying to become a metropolitan area but I think the way politics and economics work here it will take a long, long time before it gets there.

I know the man and the tree so do many other members that grow veggies, their is two sides to every story then their is the truth the sight is the mans house and his business . Way back when the Air Bus started landing here he had damage to the roof of his house and sheds from wind sheer, no money was forth coming for repairs so the trees were let grow to to give some protection from it happening again. (i think that is fair enough). maybe the stale mate came when some one was asked to sign on the line to except the costs of repairs to any further damage.

Having used the public Tricycles here extensively here in the past, I have come to the conclusion they are very dangerous units, the Drivers are fighting that third wheel constantly, one day when traveling down to the City from Valencia, I got to thinking what if this Driver has to stop quickly going down this steep hill the fully loaded sidecar would spin us around and I guess the whole unit would overturn and tumble down this steep hill?
I bought a car soon after this, we do have a Motorbike but my young child has never been allowed to travel on this and the reason we used the Trikes, thinking they give a little more protection.
One of my pet hates here is to see a Foreigner with children on his Motorbike especially if he has a car and this is even worse when they do not have Helmets on, how could a man live with himself if anything happened to this child because of his own Stupidity? I'm my view they are just Fecking idiot's.-

This is not a good use of words my friend and maybe this is due to your non-English as your main language. The lady also was referring to her late husband and therefore it comes across as very insensitive - but I am sure you were not aware of that and it was not intentional. I am informing you of this politely as I feel you might wish to edit or remove that post (is that possible?)-

- Thread: Shopping mission abort
It is slowly happening. Driving a motorcycle here is quickly becoming far more dangerous with all the stray dogs, increased traffic congestion and wider roads allowing faster speeds...add the poor concreting jobs making roads far rougher on the spine and riding a motorcycle just isn't nearly as enjoyable as it used to be. I still ride when I know with near certainly that it won't rain but if there is a cloud in sight I opt for the car. I will not even consider getting on a scooter at night if I'm leaving Valencia proper. Just not worth the risk.-

We are a couple blocks from CityMall, thus close to you. We stream a fair amount, so sprung for the PLDT fibre into the modem. We get 100 mbps up and down, sometimes better, sometimes 70 or 80. Netflix movies load in 3 seconds, no buffering.. Goes down completely once every couple months, phone call usually gets it reset in an hour or so, phone wait rarely over 5 min. "..Cost effective..." is a subjective cost-benefit analysis depending on your own criteria.

Same problem here....the wife says they keep the dogs as an alarm system for people trying to steal their "game birds". I asked why does the "alarm" have to go off all the time when no one is trying to steal their obnoxious "game birds"? The treatment/living conditions of most dogs by locals is borderline criminal.
