Or just raised and abused by sh*t parents. Drugs don't make people go around stabbing people with ice picks. Mental illness does.

It is good to see the authorities cracking down on noisy motorcycles. There needs to be much more of this.

Warning about Sto. Rosario Heigth in Dumaguete

If you are planning to rent an apartment in Sto. Rosario, then consider this warning.

There are many people in this area who do not follow Philippine rules and laws. This applies above all the disturbances at night. Dogs on some property and free-running dogs on the street sometimes bark for hours without the owners taking care of it. Rabies vaccination for street dogs? Forget it and be careful.

It is common to incinerate waste of all sorts wherever and whenever although it is forbidden (Republic Act 9003). The result is polluted breathing air. Partly also toxic substances are burned, a disaster for young and older people in particular.

In new building sites it is sometimes even worked at night and of course on Saturday and Sunday.

Since one year, the number of fighting cocks on private land has increased significantly. Expect a cock “concert” at the latest from 3 o'clock in the morning, may be very near to your pillow in bed.

If you're looking for a quiet, healthy-looking area, avoid Sto. Rosario.

A good quality of life can hardly be mentioned here at this Sto. Rubbish Rosario Height.

Happened last night at Prime. The foreigner is alive and out of hospital already. I'm told the locals who attacked the foreigner were not stopped by the bouncers/security and Prime does not have cameras that cover the front door (in the outside smoking area) where the attack happened. Reason for the attack is unknown but the locals that assaulted him were asking for him by name inside the bar.

Local problem solving 101 = hit person in the head with bottle from behind then proceed to beat the crap out of them when they are on the ground unconscious.

Stay away from bars/clubs if you have drama in Dumaguete. It will eventually catch up with you and security/guards are not going to even try to assist you.....or they might even be the ones responsible for your hospital visit/funeral.

wearing sandals with white socks, walking in the sun half naked, eating bread for breakfast instead of rice, drinking beer in the morning, building a huge house for only 2 people, not learning/understanding the local language, arrogant white pride attitude, complaining about food / service etc ... just to mention a few more or less important issues.

I myself have been around this country for a looong time and if I ever got in trouble and was given a second chance I would take it and run and while running I would be counting my lucky stars.

I thought what Liverpool said was hilarious, "If that grandfather doesn't have a house for sale, what's your point?".
This post too is off topic but is a response. I don't have a house for sale.
Be aware that in Asia, especially poorer countries, relationships are often entered into intellectually rather than emotionally, even more so than in the West. Love can come later and usually does. I don't think grandpa really believes that young lady loves him just for his personality or great physique. They are both happy so what's the problem? Not our business.

Taking the moral high ground and exercising your rights might sound like a good idea.
It's not, there's nothing to gain and everything to lose - for you and those around you.
If by some miracle you survived the process and reached the decisions you were hoping for, it wouldn't convince everyone you were innocent all along. it wouldn't restore you to a state you were before and it wouldn't be the end of it.
Presuming some wayward victory tips the scales less than literally "everything else", take everyone's advice: Drop it and politely bow out while you still can.

    Many times.
The first tricycle in line will not take less than 150 because he has been waiting to get to the front of the line of trikes and will not give up his position for less than that.
Further on down the line, if you start walking, someone will offer to do it for 100. He does not want to wait to get to the front of the line.
At the back of the line you will find someone who just arrived and will take a quick 50 pesos if you walk, with your luggage towards the exit.
If you get out to the street with no luggage you can get a trike for 10 pesos a head but if you have luggage and want a private ride he will still charge you 50.

Moral is, be prepared to haul your luggage 200 yards or so until someone offers to do it for 50.
