    I don't know.
It will be a bloody, dirty fight for Duterte, police and military. He will have to sleep with one eye open for quite a while. He is president now and could start to coast but i believe his love of country and the people are the reasons he is taking on this huge task and putting his life on the line. I wish him all the best and hope his senators support him 100% in what he wants and has to do.

Martial law is not such a bad thing if implemented for the right reasons. lawful people have nothing to worry about, yes some might find a curfew inconvenient but its a small price to pay for eradicating corruption, crime and drugs.
When i was a kid in Montreal martial law was declared during the f.l.q. crisis, but it was life as usual for the average joe.

Right now the criminal element is worried. many have turned themselves in, stabbing each other in the back and killing their own. Perhaps Duterte is smarter than most people give him credit for.

On an interesting side note, The Philippine pension is making large pension adjustments to the retired people, many are surprised to find large unannounced deposit's appear in their bank accounts. My wife's father who has been retired for about 15 years heard the rumor from friends and checked his account a few days ago and found an extra P30,000. The corruption sucks, the poor suffer while politicians and bureaucrats line their pockets. I would bet big that is the fear of Duterte behind this pension adjustment...

    Long live Duterte!!!

Some people can not take the hurt and the hopelessness that follows when you lose the one you love and you mistakenly thought the love was mutual. Alternatively, in the Philippines there are many to replace the one you lost. Reality, it is really so much a crap shoot to find the "right" one. This sad story is a lessons learned for guys coming over here meeting a chick on the internet and falling into the burning ring of fire. Proceed with caution, you are walking point in a dangerous territory.

    More great reporting. :hmmm:

It does say he was on Boracay.....not exactly sure where he is going to run to or hide at. If you're a fugitive it's kinda stupid to hang around on a small island. Nowhere to go when law enforcement starts closing in on ya.

Education and discipline in Singapore as well as a strict government made Singapore, all a weakness in the Philippines.

First the Senate and relevant committees need to hear, make amendments and vote on the bill. Then the House gets to do the same. Then it goes back to the Senate to vote on the bill with the changes made by the House and on to the president to sign. Many idiotic ideas get put into bills, very few make it through the process. Laws are hard to put in place for a reason. I wouldn't get excited about it until it has been passed down to the house for their amendments and vote.

Nothing at all to do with Du30.............Philippines has been blacklisted of sorts, as it doesnt have to furnish or show how it spent what money it was given, most of the foreign aid is lying in Banks waiting for its day in the sunshine

how they can pilfer and plunder from the mouths of desperate people ( there own kip and kin) is beyond me,
how countries can give it without asking where its actually being spent is just as bad, half of what is said was given is never given in the first place

I'm gonna think about this a little before I argue it....but, I have strong reason to believe he is clinically insane. The rambling speeches, the sheer thoughtlessness of comparing drug addicts to victims of a mad ideology, the scattergun approach to stuff. "Bonkers" is my diagnosis so far....
