I think, in more general terms, 'aliens'are going to find life tougher as regulations separate them more and more from citizens; the changes to Philhealth are a recent example. It is fine with me as it is their country and I can leave if I don't like it, but I would like my home country to reciprocate likewise instead of treating every foreigner the same as (often better than!) its own citizens

During the night thieves pried open the crappy locks on my front window and reached through the gaps in my security grill to steal my Apple MacBook Pro laptop then used a long stick to snatch my bag with my iPhone, wallet with cash and expired iCard [original in safe]. We heard my dog bark but for only half a minute then he stopped? Thieves climbed a tree next to my block wall and stepped on the barb wire and hopped into my yard. Police came and took the report. Will try the FInd my Phone Apple Capbility when the iStore opens.
    Dog demoted to Private.

To All, my wife didnt know how to use DI, i tried to tell her from the hospital bed to post for some help but she tried her best to Post.

Now that Im back heres the jist of the story,

For all those that didnt know, almost a week back I was intentionally struck from behind with a glass bottle cutting open my head - i also damaged my left shoulder, and re-opened an infectious sore on my right leg. I dont remember much what happened after that but I was taken to Siliman via ambulance for a CT Scan, Chest Xray and Shoulder Xray, and to get my head sutured up.. LUCKILY all of the scans turned out OK however a blood test showed a dangerously low platelet and rbc level due to loss of blood and also multiple infections raging throughout me. My platelets continued to drop and the Drs scratched their heads, came up with 2 possible diagnosis... either it was due to the loss of blood and an infection raging throughout me, or because I had a sore body/sore joints and was running a high fever they suggested a high potential of Denge Fever... I was in really bad shape, amnesia of many past events, confusion, vommitting, etc..it was terrible. After awhile my levels started climbing but then dropped again.. Instead of paying for tests, expensive meds, etc, they pumped me full of their strongest antibiotics, gave me a perscreption and I opted to be sent home after my vitals were stable and I was on my feet. Also to self monitor with my local lab..lets pray things get better for me. Thank you all who did get the message about possibly donating blood, and especially to the gentlemen who actually came and visited me at Siliman to see how I was doing. I did not catch his name, as I was completely not there but it meant a lot to know this forum can provide support to those in need.

Love you all, and pray for me please

Not everyone shares my following view, and I don't expect them to, but having a child when you are 60+ is a blessing. For those that don't like the late parenting and look down on it or criticize me for it, I really don't care - your loss, I have this to say.
Biologically, my particular boy would not have been born into this world, as is. Importantly, when I pass my wife will have a son to look after and eventually take care of her. Moreover, my young wife's life would be incomplete without a child. Factual to many filipinas.
The joy is being able to spend the majority of 24/7 watching him grow. While I had two children in my first marriage, I was working and going to school and often moonlighting as a programmer and, unfortunately, missed seeing the growth and learning curve and feeling the closeness that I am experiencing today.
Most filipinas want a child, married or not. Coming into a relationship, one should be aware of this, which is one of the reasons I am posting this.
Look, being a born again dad is not for everyone. Lots of patience, sacrifices, and you must be unselfish, but if that is you press forward for a life-changing experience.
Just please don't knock her up and walk away.

ah miss caranoche, i am rushing to reply to your post and delaying my dinner to do so. i am not calling you a liar, but perhaps misinformed, perhaps the victim of poorly trained hospital employees or more likely students or perhaps having expectations that cannot be met.

i am not a fan of american healthcare. i started there in a small country hospital as a radiology technician and over the next fifty years worked in that capacity, some lab technician duties, a first responder, an orderly, a hospital administrator in both large and small hospitals, a long term care administrator and finally as a registered nurse.

with the exception of government functions, nothing is as convoluted or confusing as healthcare (IMHO). it is easy for me to presume you are a victim of that.

this is only the second time i have seen the worl "liar" in print here. ("idiot" a little more frequently) i personally discourage raw emotion here. hopefully we can see a bond in our common status as guests here. i have been helped a lot by advice here and try to offer help when i can.

i have to guard against letting my blood get up sometimes here, but i always try to relax, take a deep breath, and accept the fact that none of us are going to change anything as one of the posters recently reminded me by posting a picture of the world before and after i voiced my opinion. (no change could be see in those before and after pics)

so, please take a deep breath, allow me to apologize if i left the wrong impression with you, and lets start over!

    I don't know.
I was with this couple last night, Filipina / Aussie and he was telling me how they met. Rather cool story. He was 18, still fresh and on his dads computer doing some work. His dad left open a Phils dating site so he took a look and thought man these girls are cute so opened up a profile of his own.

Bang....he gets a hit from a girl his age, 18 years old and never talked with any other girls. A few months later went to Manila to meet her. Remember this due hasn't had a GF before. He also had never traveled overseas. Can you imagine how he felt?

11 years later they are married and still together, totally into each other and have 2 kids and a house in Perth.

Sure most of the time we have this big age gap but not always.

    Okay now that this is in an off-topic thread;
I am sorry if it might offend some of you that I do not follow Politics, at any level, be it the People, the Parties, or whatever! For me; every time I log onto a Facebook Page/ Forum there are out and out idiots arguing over a (insert name) Party of some type, slinging shyte, people calling others names, SO MUCH HATRED simply because of some idiot following another idiot! I find it very sad that people are so consumed... (Sorry; to me all Politicians are idiots in one way or another) One eyed people or one-sided hatred; I have no time for!

I posted the Video BECAUSE; I could not believe that Adults would listen to questions from someone holding a microphone asking them about extinct Dinosaurs and NOT think, just for a second, and ask; "Pardon me? Are you talking about a Dinosaur?" :o o: (I am SURE ANY kid who was asked those questions would have been like; "HUH" :o o: Come on, who has NOT watched Jurassic Park or had an interest in Dinosaurs growing up as a kid knowing anything that ends with 'saurus' is not necessarily always a Thesaurus? lol)

It was the stupidity and the way they pondered before giving their replies that cracked me up, it could have been Steve Job's Son for all I care! (PLEASE! Apple Fans; do not attack me, pleeeassse! lol)

Okay, now let's pull up our Big Gurl Stand-up Comedian's Panties and move on...
