I have put this here because it is so funny. My Local sorry, sorry, store owner has shot himself in the Foot, He upped the stick price of one Particular Brad of Cigarette I sometime buy from him x .25 cevs from 1.50 to 1.75 peso or you can have 3 for 5 peso Today he charged me 35 peso for the Pack. NO! I said for 35 I should have 21 Sticks, that's 1 pack + 1 stick. No said he it is 35 peso for 1 pack. Hmmmmmmmmmm OK so I give him 5 peso and he gives me 3 sticks. Now I do that again 6 times so he gives me 3 sticks for each 5 peso I put down. So I say to him OK Owen, now how many Sticks have you Given me for the 7 x 5 peso pieces I gave you. (Which is of Course is 35 peso) Eeeeeeeeeer 21 so my Friend, I said it should be 1 pack and 1 stick for 35 peso. Hmmmmmmmm he said but I will loose out. Well Owen, you can't win em all you know . I suggested he has the Pack Price at 34 peso and calls it a day. That way he will make 1.75 peso on the 21st Stick instead of Loosing JP This is where accountants that spot silly things can save a business money
That is protection for the smokes, so you do not lose the functionality of any of them. I think we have all realized there is no discount for quantity here as in my country in the US. Just another cultural oddity... or lack of math ability..
You are right, if buying a bigger quantity, you will get punished. Is that also part of the saying: More fun in the PH (when you buy less)!
AH So! My Fliend , This is where integration comes in, any self respecting Cigarette Stick buyer will have an empty pack at his/her disposal or like the Locals, Pick one up. Just saying JP
It's the same when you buy a beer or coke. If you have no bottle, and don't want to pay for one, you get it in a plastic bag and a straw :-D
