Senior Citizen Card

Some say that they can get the card, and others say that it is illegal. Can someone tell me if this Senate Bill was passed? http://www.senate.gov.ph/lisdata/112729581!.pdf

Note: It says nothing about Foreigners in the final Bill. It only refers to Philippine Resident Citizens in Section 2(a).

 

I believe Philippines citizen implies a person with citizenship, not to be confused with resident. I am not aware of foreigners with citizenship.

 

Yes Pat, that is how I read it also. I just gave a direct quote from the Republic Act as someone had asked if it had passed and it did but the wording about Foreigners being eligible was taken out. In earlier drafts there was wording to effect that Foreigners who resided here would be eligible but that wording didn't make it into the final bill. That was where some confusion came from is the earlier drafts...
