I was with you until this part "start walking home". I have been in a car with a bunch of friends and the driver's live-in was doing the 'back seat driver' thing so he just pulled over and said "If you don't like the way I drive then you should get out and ride with someone else". She shut up . . . at least until they got home

 

Now that's the safer way to handle it - especially if the nagging offender can't drive.

If I ever have a person do this to me, I'm going to say something along what your friend said.

Or drop them off at the bus stop and tuck a PHP or two in their hand.

I wouldn't abandon my own car. Sorry. If someone is getting out, it's not going to be me. If it got to that point I would give them the option to get out or....they can shut up long enough for me to drop them someplace where it would be convenient to catch public transportation.

 

Agree. My car, I have excellent driving skills and the offender ought not to be a nagging Nellie.
