The original poster had his answer early in the topic, this thread then branched off into other possibilities related to the original topic as intelligent discussion is wont to do... if this is in anyway irritating to you then maybe you have found the wrong forum for your sensibilities ....

 

Or... maybe somebody should have started a new thread about IQ and Mensa. Surely even that is not too difficult for you to get your head around., or perhaps that is too difficult for you to do?

There are two types of people in the world, those who wander off topic, which is probably a matter of personality but may just be the way we view posting, whether we see it as a conversational experience or as strictly informative. Conversations wander, I remember this one instance...

and those that don't.

 

And actually, who cares? Especially, given the lack of apparent gravitas to the topic of this thread, it seems perfectly normal for people to honestly try to improve upon the rather shallow topic of “where do I find a nice girl to marry?”. By expanding the topic, people are exploring more meaningful but related corollaries to the subject, essential positing that there may be more avenues to explore in addition to staying away from bars. The threads are still related to the main topic. I do not detect a desire to have a separate thread to discuss IQ for its own sake.

Well I for one do NOT care what YOU say or think, IQ is no basis for any Relationship unless of course some people are thinking they are better than others and then Forget where we are

 

I suppose IQ may be relevant to a relationship in which both prospective partners thought it might be important. That really is the basis for the existence of MENSA, to supposedly provide an environment where similarly, very intelligent people can interact in sort of a way supportive to the way they are, no matter what their walk of life. And I totally agree, ‘where we are’ may not particularly be a place that is supportive to issues relating to being too intelligent lol.
