Opened Oct. 24th, have not been there but did hear kids love the place. Not many reviews yet so feel free to roll the dice and let us know. Link below, imagine if it does well we will have another showcase item. http://visayasmedia.com/2019/port-royale-waterpark-resort-in-dumaguete-city-open-on-october-24/
[QUOTE="Crystalhead, feel free to roll the dice and let us know.[/QUOTE] I will when we get there next year, We'll probably be in Dumaguete some time March or April, or maybe before that, to visit my cousin.
Friends of ours went there on Sunday. said it was very nice but pricey - the height thing meant that all the kids had to pay 300 entrance fee so I guess it quickly adds up if there's a group!
Nice and pricey is correct, not to mention that they allow kids in diapers. Nothing like a little po po with your daily swim, this in spite of the fact that one of the rules posted says no spitting or blowing your nose in the pool, but no rule in regards to kids in diapers. Yes I did bring it to the attention of the staff and the response was a simple shoulder shrug.
I opened the link that Crystalhead kindly sent and couldn't help but chuckle when I read that "And also it is not only for swimming and fun, but it is good for taking Instagram pictures." Dear oh dear
P300 entrance, ( US$6 +/-) expensive for a brand new, first of a kind resort with 41 rooms/event venue etc? I find the entrance basically the same price with some of the beach resorts on the South Road(However, usually they have 'consumable' rates). Probably, the place cost an absolute fortune to build, looking at the photographs on the link, surely one shouldn't deny an 'entrepreneur', a reasonable ROI?!
Apparently a young boy drowned there this afternoon, please look after your kids when going swimming anywhere.
I was about to give the same info----a 7-year-old boy drowned and died in that new entertainment resort. Not a good way to start a business, I think.
