I apologize for stating US bank. Yes as an American I can get wrapped up in thinking how things are in this country, same as someone from the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, or one of every other nation on earth would do. Oh wait I apologize again, for I am again thinking to small, who is to say there isn't an alien amongst us? I should have said any race in the universe. I truly hate to offend those who are to narrow minded to think for themselves and appreciate what others are trying to do to help others.

Great news. This reminds me that wife and I (SRRV) need to make a payment for this next period. Can’t make a claim or gain admission to a hospital unless you keep the receipts showing you are paid up for the last x months plus your MDR form. Make sure you have those close at hand. The card itself isn’t enough. Not sure about emergency admissions.

Do you have to be married to be on her account? Kind of thinking about joining the gf's account. Or creating my own. I'll never know when i'll need it and I want to be prepared regardless.

Are these rates mentioned the same regardless of age or state of health. Would my 80 year old father in law only have to pay 4200 peso to get insurance or would it be higher because of age or because he has never paid for insurance in the past. He currently has the free poor senior insurance, but my understanding is that it doesn't pay as well as the insurance where you are paying premiums.

You should inquire at one of the Phil-heath office, He might be entitled to free cover (don't quote me on that) Won't be higher because of his age.
    Only covers basic cover.

Glad you got us back on topic, i had to google some of the words being used in previous comments (parochialism) for example :wtf:.
Any way there's me going of topic now, what i wanted to comment about was the 4200p that your wife paid, my wife just paid hers and it was 3600p which was still a 50% increase from the 2400p that she used to pay, when she told me about the increase i thought they were trying to make up for the millions that went missing last year then i see your wife is paying even more....

This is very useful information. Yes, I noticed when I accompanied a helper to NOPH on Veterans Ave that there was a sign posted, stating that the patients with PhilHealth will not be billed for any charges above whatever Phil health covered. Would a Westerner want to get treated there? That’s another topic.
