The original 2012 thread was closed as being no longer valid, but i'm still curious.
We like the new zealand and US ribeye steaks at Tinto's, and Salaya down south has good steak.

Any other good places in town. I don't think Casablanca still has steak.

Also lookin for good Thai (in my opinion why not is not good)...

Cannot help but I do have a good buddy that is moving to Duma later in the year and him and his Thai wife plan to do a Thai restaurant.

I just posted our experience with Aquarius Restaurant in the Dining-Nightlife category. Excellent Thai food.

Both the deli by Bo’s Coffee and Belcris have good (frozen) US steaks. Not cheap pretty good.

We tried Tinto's the other day, Where is Salaya ?
At Tinto's the US ribeye was N/A so i had the New Zealand one and unfortunately it was tough as old boots, i could not blame the cook as i asked for it to be medium and it was but i think the donor cow died of old age.
Shame really as it is a nice place and the service was good but every cloud has a silver lining as our dog appreciated the half a steak we took home for him.

Salaya Beach Houses, Dauin. Approximately 12km out of town going south. Look for the Shell Petrol Station and Bamboo Bob's (opposite each other) and then go about another 2km south from there. There is a smallish sign saying "Salaya Beach Houses" on your left as you are heading south. The next resort going south is "Atlantis", that's about 500 metres past Salaya.

There are probably fewer beef wholesalers than restaurants. There is probably better integrity at the wholesale level because there are fewer people in the chain. (Are you sure your steak was from NZ?)You might want to track down a list of the sources and go there to buy steak and then BBQ it yourself. Maybe Belcris + one other.

This way you would have fewer places to investigate to find the best steak.
