They said they are replacing the REMAINING wooden poles. That sounds like there will be no more wooden poles.
    Yippee

HOLD YOUR HORSES (appropriately Mr PONY) .. they said they will "continue the replacement [of the wooden poles]".

You got too excited too soon! But after a year of lockdown, anything is exciting!

Can someone from noreco please answer:
    SERIOUS QUESTION FOR NORECO:
All the towers for this 69kV are obviously big steel structures.
WHY CANNOT YOU ISOLATE THE 69kV LINE FROM THE REMAINING WOODEN POLES, NONE OF WHICH, I THINK, CARRY A 69kV WIRE ?????
WHY COULD YOU NOT INSTALL HEAVY DISCONNECT SWITCHES TO SAVE FREQUENT BLACKOUTS. ????

    • I was wondering about that too! I was wondering about that too! x 2

The 69kV lines transmit down to the substation for onward transmission at 11/12kV. Each substation SHOULD have a HV disconnect - so why don't NORECO use them?

I can answer the question from Mr. K ... It's because Noreco does not have one ounce of concern or consideration for the inconveniences caused to its customers.
