I had one of these, dark green van, 4years old, 11k on the clock. The bloke I bought it from in Erith stated proudly that it had once gone up to London Bridge! Good motor untill was parked outside a mates on Boxing day and some drunk rear ended it full on/hard. Ended up like an squashed accordion. For those not in the know this "vehicle" was made of fiberglass and had 3 wheels. Death trap, thus no longer in production.

Later model so had the De luxe version with reverse!!

Now my friend, that begs a question. Under UK law you could drive that on a Motor cycle lisence because it had no reverse BUT when the deluxe model was on the Road did you need a car Licence?

    • I was wondering about that too! I was wondering about that too! x 1

    Very good point Sir
You are of course technically correct.
Maybe the law is an @ss in this case IMO.

I never got pulled up by plod** in mine and even if did I doubt they would be aware of any "violation" intended or otherwise. However a by the book type and no doubt you'd be nicked for sure....

** did once and my mate Mad Bill said directly to the police lady while she was asking the usual stop routine questions "He (me) doesn't have a licence" whereon she smiled and then waved me on.

Shows it's the way you say things not what you say or rather it's that's the only conclusion I can come to after years of wondering WTF.

The no reverse version was permitted to be driven on a Motorcycle license, technically the later model with reverse required/ needed a car license.
