    Hello guys,

Does anyone here have any detailed information how to get to Palawan? We are planning to have our vacation soon and would really appreciate any input you can offer. Is there any other route aside from laying over in Manila?
Palawan and Boracay are two of the main places we would like to explore.

    Thank you!
    M

    I don't know.

Cebu Pacific are flying 3 or 4 times per week between Cebu City (Mactan) and Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Check out their website.

If you have an interest in El Nido on Palawan, www.air-swift.com has a direct flight from Cebu/Manila to El Nido. It also has a direct flight from El Nido to Boracay a couple of days a week, so you could get a direct connection between the two. El Nido is a pretty neat little town. Getting from either Palawan/Boracay to Dumaguete is going to require a stop over in Cebu or Manila.

Basically, if you have lots of time and don't get bored on long bus-rides, there are plenty ways to get most everywhere in the Philippines from Dumaguete without having to fly to and from Manila.
Rome-to Rio isn't very accurate with their itineraries, to get to Boracay from here you could take a bus to Bacolod (5-6 hours), then the ferry to Iloilo (1 hour), and then a bus to Kalibo/Caticlan (another 6 to 7 hours) and a short boat trip to Boracay. Not something you should try in one day though . Remember that distances might not seem very long, but the average speed of traffic is low, also for buses.
From anywhere in the Philippines to Palawan isn't really feasible without flying to Manila or Cebu first.
