    We are now in the Philippines to stay! For the last 15 years we have visited and then had to go back to HK to work. We are now here, still working but not so much. I have been looking at this site for over a year now and there is some great info that has been a real help.
    We are still looking at visas.With the SRRV has any one had experience of actually being able to reclaim their deposit to use towards a property? We know we can't own land but we know there are ways round that particularly as our daughter in law is Filipino. All we have heard so far are stories of long long delays in being able to use that money.

    Congratulations on your move. I trust you will enjoy life much more now. I have reservations about putting large funds into RP banks but I've not had any personal experience with the SRRV. Perhaps there is someone on the forum with better info. In the meantime, WELCOME!
