only Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific fly to Dumaguete from Manila.

our flight back to Manila last 05Jun was delayed. Instead of departing at 4:25pm, we left at 5:15pm.

from Cebu, you can just take a ferry. I think it is only 30mins away. that's what a local told us.

hey friends, if anyone's planning to go to Dumaguete this year, FYI, cebupacific has an ongoing Zero fare sale for all domestic and international destinations. travel period is from Sep 1-Nov30, 2011 only. estimated roundtrip fare manila-dumaguete will cost roughly around Php500. so what are you waiting for? hurry up and book now before all the seats run out! =P

I like to get there at least an hour or two before departure. I check in, pay the unmentioned fees, go out the airport for a drink, hang around like a bum, and then go back in 15mins before the flight to listen to the blind musicians play.

...and i've seen those live chickens.

sorry ginni6, i am not an agent.
i did not find anything wrong with sharing the promo for this airline. The price is unbeatable. It's up to readers if they want to avail it or not.

Just so you know, my plane ticket to DGT from this airline only cost me PHP575 and that already covers the Roundtrip fare w/ FBA. I wasn't charged any extras and yes, I won in the kindergarten games! well, I guess some old people just don't know how to have fun anymore.:p

Folks, use Cebu Pac's Web Checkin, up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight time. You are already checked in, so they cannot sell your seat, or bump you AND, no need to stand in line (much :D if you are hand carry, sad to say, still a line if you have bags, but you do get priority)

Works great for me, I usually check in two days before and in Manila, it is brilliant, just go to the web checkin counter (if you can find it :D), usually only one to three people in the line and off for a Pizza Upstairs)

Now, lets talk about being on time, hmm, get the morning flight, much greater chance of it being on time than the afternoon flight, if time matters to you or you have to meet another flight or appointment, etc. It has still been late, but it is much less likely as the days delays have not eaten into the schedules yet.

I used to know the GM for Operations for Cebu Pac in the early days (he is now at AirPhilExpress) and he used to stress severely if the daily on-time percentage text was below 90%, my goodness, I think it is well below 70% on the web site now, he would have a heart attack.

It ain't going to get much better for Cebu Pac, PAL is much better at being on time, but you pay a lot more. PAL departs form the main runway, which gets priority over the secondary runway (13/31) that CebuPac uses. Planes on the secondary have to wait for a break in the landings and takeoffs on the secondary so they can depart as the departure is right over the main runway and the controllers have to consider the possibility of a plane going around on the main runway.

Go across to the Finish Line Cafe and wait over there after Check In, GREAT Coffee and a LOT better than sitting in the terminal. Nice toilets too for the missus and kids .. for the pre-flight nerves and they know how to serve a cold beer.

    Cheers

ahh not only in Dumaguete Airport anywhere you should be at least 2- 3hours because any fligth alot of chance passenger is there waiting to get your sit so better to go on time 2-3 hours to avoid problems especially the day you plan to leave.....

The only different for other airlines is that those who doesnt belong to Philippines Airlines they will arrive in or depart from Centennial Airport and those airline not with the Philippine Airlines you must go to Terminal 2 or 3 so thats it and if you are in the province only by 1-2hours different for the schedule departure and arrival so to avoid delays just be there 2-3hours in advance than to come 1 hour before your flight and later knows your sit was cancelled by the airline crew.....
