⌛ Interested in Dumaguete

Hello!

I'm a recent graduate hoping to make a life for myself in a new place and I'm interested in Dumaguete City. My mother is a Silliman alumnus and she has always spoken fondly of her stay in Dumaguete. I'm currently in Bacolod, visiting family, but would probably visit Dumaguete next week to take a look at grad study options at Silliman. As a Biology graduate, marine conservation has always interested me. Thus, any information anyone could provide regarding volunteer and work options in Dumaguete would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jack. Anyone know if there are any employment opportunities? My field is Biology so any research work, writing jobs, and/or teaching positions would be ideal. I am a fast learner though, and I'm willing to try anything so any information regarding employment is sure appreciated.

 

Just reached dumaguete a few hours ago. They say first impressions are accurate ones and I must say what a great city! I love the ambience, the motorcycles, the food. So far so good! Gonna try to find employment and a place to rent tomorrow. If you see a big bald tagalog guy walking the streets, that'll be me.
