I read now its 87 killed in Oslo, Norway - Who in their right mind would bomb and shoot a peaceful, party loving, friendly people like the Norwegians ? Its a crazy world we live in. Prayers and best wishes to all those involved.....

 

I, too, have just read the updated report on this atrocity. At first glance, it does not appear to be terrorist linked, more likely the work of some deranged idiot with a warped mind, but that has yet to be confirmed. The Norwegian authorities are reported to believe that the same person was responsible for the bombing and the shooting. An absolute tragedy in a beautiful country with such peace loving people.

My express sympathies and condolences to all of our Norwegian friends and colleagues.

This is how Right-wing nut-cakes protest. They have been been poisoned so long their brains die and they skip debate because they believe they will not win or perhaps know deep inside they are not right so they strike out. Such a tragedy brought on by another extremist idealogy.

SUNDVOLLEN, Norway (Reuters) - Norway mourned on Sunday 93 people killed in a shooting spree and car bombing by a Norwegian who saw his attacks as "atrocious, but necessary" to defeat liberal immigration policies and the spread of Islam.
In his first comment via a lawyer since his arrest, Anders Behring Breivik, 32, said he wanted to explain himself at a court hearing on Monday about extending his custody.
"He has said that he believed the actions were atrocious, but that in his head they were necessary," Geir Lippestad said.
The lawyer said Breivik had admitted to Friday's shootings at a Labour party youth camp and the bombing that killed seven people in Oslo's government district a few hours earlier.
However, "he feels that what he has done does not deserve punishment," Lippestad told NRK public television.
