Utilities & Mobile PLDT woes

Our fiber internet connection at home has been down for almost 3 weeks straight now, and despite multiple visits (and multi-hour waits) to the PLDT shop/office at Robinson, so far all we get is excuses and promises, but no action.
PLDT is looking more and more like a company that fired most of their technicians and are now unable to keep their sh*t together.
Also, one department / central computer has sent an sms a couple days ago that the problem has been solved, but the other department / central computer that maintains the MyPLDT website still shows that we're scheduled for a visit by a technician.
Apparently they're not at all bothered when informing customers at their website that "outages are normally resolved within 24 hours".
This is the third time this year that we suffer an extended connection problem like the current one.
Not happy obviously, and if I liked Musk any better than I actually do I would be tempted to get Starlink.

Oh and just in case you might wonder, our Dito back-up helps to keep us somewhat sane while we wait, but 3 weeks without proper internet speed, and without Netflix and regular TV isn't my definition of fun.

 

I also am not a fan of Mr Musk, but I can't fault his product. We've had Starlink since it's release in the Philippines and I cannot recall any downtime longer than about a minute or so. Speeds are constantly >200Mbps and they've now got the latency below 50ms it's all singing and dancing - though a little expensive since the Tangerine Tosspot stopped the Scientific aid contribution

 

Are they going to adjust your monthly bill to reflect the crap service or will that be (processing)

 

Yes starlink is expensive but look at the alternatives, cheaper but you only get what you pay for.

 

How did you solve the tv signal issue for local channels. The asawa wouldn't be too happy to miss out on her favourite soaps permanently.

 

If only I would get what I pay for I'd be very happy. Sadly here you pay for a 400 Mbit connection but in practice you hardly get more than 100 during the best of times.
Moreover back in the Netherlands providers would advertise and compete on the basis of a realistic "99.8% uptime", but PLDT is struggling to do better than 80% uptime.
If PLDT would manage a reasonable response time when there's an outage I could deal with the rest, but unfortunately they appear to have fired all of their own technicians and then hide behind " we don't control the schedule of the outside company" .
