⌛ Robinsons Safety

Today another construction worker fell to his death on the Robinson's site.It seems that safety is not a requirement as only some of the guys have safety harnesses,Goggles,Steel toed boots Or hardhats. They must just be fashion accessories on local construction sites for those who can afford them. I believe this brings the toll to 4. This year? The other day I saw a guy welding using a pair of sunnglasses with one lens. He had two fingers going through the missing hole. Feel sorry for the families they were providing for:(

 

When they had the big fire downtown a couple of years ago, all of the "firemen"
were fashionably dressed in T-shirts and flipflops. They tried to kick down the
front door to gain entrance, but were unable to do so while wearing flipflops.
Unfortunately, someone had stolen the fireax.

 

sad to hear, maybe it was just the practise of some show of the opening ceremony...
Bungee-jumping unplugged....

fits great into the row of other filipino rereational activities like "Sailing into a Typhoon" or "Riding Bikes at night without lights" or "Fly an aircraft without Navigation and English skills"

@Rick&Sue, dunno how long you are here know, but it's time to take of the pink glasses and have a thougth about the reality in this country after that you can start discuss with me about safety and harsh ...

Betcha they will be selling all kinds of safety equipment there when they open though!

 

haha, of course, it was never in use and is brandnew... or the head of construction opens an outdoor adventure shop ...
